Great cod fish and chips here! I love the extra crispy fries they make here. They are also very friendly, and fast with your order.

Stopped in one of my favorite little towns on the coast, Nehalem, Oregon. Followed a sign that led us behind a bar/tasting room, out to the river, and two food carts, one that specializes in fresh doughnuts and coffee. That one was closed, however the other food cart, Riverside Fish n’ Chips was open, and had a special on grilled cheese sandwiches. The scene was truly idyllic, and we were hungry so, we ordered two sandwiches. They came with a mix of either pepper jack, cheddar or a combo of the two. The cost was not terrible, a bit over $8.00 each. Everything else on the menu though, was more expensive. Hwy 101 was literally half a block away and yet most, if not all of the noise from busy traffic was silenced. There were several seating options including two picnic tables with big sunshades on them. The Nehalem river flowing just a few feet away is smooth and mesmerizing with folks in kayaks fishing or just floating by. Our food arrived and came with some really good seasoned fries. The sandwiches were also good, with no black on them, evidence the cook is experienced and cares about the product. Not always the case with a grilled cheese sandwich, to be sure. So we enjoyed our meal and respite next to the river. I liked everything but the prices. My budget has been a bit tight for a while so I will often eat at home, or pack food along. Still, this was worth it, to stop and rest for a while in a very serene setting. And I’m sure many folks will pass on by, because there isn’t a whole lot of signage on the street. Still, look for it.

I typically love most foods that are full of flavor, and my Fish Tacos were full of flavor, plentiful, and appetizing to look at. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce they put on the fish taco which I assume is their house made tartar sauce? I’ll stop by here again and order a three piece fish n chips next time so I can control the sauce scenario we had a huge group and they got through all of us very fast! Wonderful seating area outdoors right along the river. This towns mountainous landscape reminds me of Kauai.

I have camped in Nehalem since I was a kid, but I don’t remember this place. I stopped on my way through today and wasn’t disappointed. The fish wasn’t over battered or greasy. Flaky and tasty. The dried cranberries added a nice spin to the slaw. My only complaint is that the fries were battered. I’m just not a fan of battered fries. They were cooked and seasoned well, just not for me. A must stop if you’re in the area.

We had the cod fish & chips ($12) and the fish tacos ($14). They were both excellent! The fries were seasoned well and the coleslaw was good too! Staff were friendly and took our order before they opened. It was nice they had a covered seating area for the rain. We would definitely come back!

Great spot for fish and chips by the river on a sunny day! The tables were nice, and the surroundings are beautiful with lilies and the river. The fries and the fish were delicious, and not expensive. The workers were very nice, we waited less than 10min for out food.

Fish tacos were great! Fish & Chips live up to the hype and the homemade tartar and slaw were superb. Will definitely stop here again when we camp nearby.

We called 15 minutes before closing. We were close by, and got good directions. First time there, and we were extremely happy with the food and service. Very nice people, and some of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. We will definitely return.
