What a wonderful experience. Every part was top-notch, great food, great service, and you can’t beat the atmosphere. This place comes highly recommended and is one of our best memories on our vacation.

I have been here before. It was a pretty good time for me this time. The chocolate chess pie was really good. I am glad that they had it.

I had really high hopes attending The Carriage House. I heard great things about this place but was rather disappointed upon being seated. Right away I was served with a chipped glass of ice water. It wouldn’t have been such a major issue if it was delivered with a straw to sip on. My impression was that this was to be considered a higher-end restaurant and the service was beyond excellent. My visit consisted of neither quality. I ordered a Mint Jolee and yet another chipped glass. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and was not satisfied by the size of the dish. I was with my significant other’s family and they had complaints as well. They returned their Mint Jolee cocktail. The busser was well dressed but almost looked like he crawled out of a mine shaft. If he would have shaved or trimmed his facial hair I would have no complaints about it. The menu was priced way too high for the service provided. I’m not sure if I will return but may stop in to see if thing are better on my next trip down. As of now I cannot and will not recommend going to this location.

The service these young waiters showed me was impeccable!! Kind and knowledgeable!! I wish I could say the same for the food and drink. Meal was served Luke warm at best!! Chicken was so dry that I had to drink water with it to swallow!! Bloody Mary was not seasoned at all!! Not the carriage house from 15 yrs ago!!!

This is my favorite childhood restaurant. Apparently, they still make the tiny breakfast biscuits, but the lady who makes them was out sick.

Love the lunch ! Tomato aspic, tiny biscuits & mayhaw jelly, fried green tomato appetizer w seafood. Known for fried chicken but I usually opt for fish. Nice atmosphere behind Stanton Hall one of the old homes , open for tours. I like browsing the gift shop for heirloom sterling silver pieces. Lots of Garden Club , Pilgrimage history here.

If bland had a restaurant outside of a nursing home…this place would be the flagship. Chef’s? Not even Marie Calenders would keep them on a payroll to peel carrots for a pot pie. Biggest disappointment in thanksgiving food ever served. Absolutely not worth the money. Thank God McDonalds was open. At least I get what I pay for there!

Elegant looking restaurant with white table cloths, serving expensive frozen, canned food. Pre-breaded chicken fried steak, the mushy green beans had to come from a can, the cook had to cut into my hamburger steak to check the temperature before they sent it out and it was still rare. Covered in canned gravy. The waitress was the best part of out experience.
