Was craving a lunch plate while visiting Kaui and this place did not disappoint. The Kalbi ribs were tender and juicy. The mac salad was great. They make their teriyaki sauce in-house which gave it a unique and authentic taste. The place was away from the tourist areas and a lot of locals visited when I was there. Appears to be a small mom and pop shop. Service was a slow, especially since it was during the busy lunch rush. Our dishes were siting for a few minutes before they called me but that’s ok. On the food alone, I would recommend this spot to anyone that loves lunch plate meals. Mahalo!

The ribs were ok for oven cooked. I’m probably just used to slow smoked ribs with homemade rub. I sell ribs back home. But when your starving after a long day in the sun and water of kauai they hit the spot. Macaroni salad was pretty good after I added a bit of salt. Fries were soggy so I had to swing by Micky-D’s to get more fries. Also they give no bread or rolls and they’re list of sides is limited and they weren’t making onion rings the day we went by. But they are a smaller mom and pop type of place so I understand somewhat. Long story short the food was high priced, touristy, and not memorable but I didn’t starve. But one thing I did notice is that the on-site menu prices don’t match the website at all. This type of bait and switch technique is very common nowadays. I don’t know but it seems to me it can’t be that hard to update your website.

Beef ribs were amazing. The service could use a little aloha spirit. Though don’t ask for an extra fork or it will cost you 25¢! And pee before hand since there’s no bathroom at this industrial park venue. And apparently you can only sit down and eat, or dine in, Tuesday and Friday, according to the signs, though we were there on a Wednesday and the tables and chairs were still accessible.

It’s a small store in an industrial area so it would be easy to miss. We ordered the Hawaiian pork belly, Cajun shrimp, and broiled mahi mahi. The pork belly was by far the best of the 3- super juicy and lots of flavor! Currently during covid they only offer takeout with no seating options.

My wife and I recalled Harley’s from a few years back. They moved to a new location, an industrial area, kind of out of the way. The price was probably half of what other restaurants would charge, and the quantity of beef surpasses any other place I have ever been. Not fancy, but all other requirements are fulfilled. Good, quick service!!
