What a phenomenal experience! We had a spectacular time at the Surf Club. Everything from the food to the service was immaculate. I love the design of the restaurant, it has a beautiful feel in the day time and is very intimate at night too.

A solid Michelin star restaurant. The service is excellent and accommodating. The food ranges from good to excellent. The highlight for me was definitely the ribeye. I don’t recall having ever had such a good ribeye. I agree with Michelin: it’s worth a visit.

Elegant and luxurious aesthetic, the restaurant has been designed with the spirit of Miami in mind. Imaginatively brought to life through the implementation of art deco-inspired chandeliers, an oversized hand-painted mural and verdant planting native to Miami, the restaurant revives its reputation as iconic members’ club to the prominent and illustrious names of the golden era. On arrival guests are welcomed by a stylish colour palette of Aurelian blue, dusty pink and mulberry red that work in partnership with sleek timber panelling and brass detailing. Art deco-inspired chandeliers and mirrored detailing reflect the beaded ceiling to create an interior that feels modern and glamorous yet anchored in tradition. The semi-open nature of the bar and restaurant ensures the flow of the space is uninterrupted and encourages an atmosphere that is animated yet intimate, while leather banquette seating further helps the space to strike a balance between informality and luxury.

There’s no wonder why Surf Club boasts a Michelin star. Everything from walking though the doors to the professionalism of the workers to their service and food was superb. The restaurant is part of a much bigger hotel so it can give you the resort feeling while you’re dining here (which we liked). The lobster Thermidor is to die for (it wont be hot, it’ll be warm/room temperature which is how it’s supposed to be served). Their lamb chops are delicate and succulent. All of their drinks and dishes look like fine art—we didn’t even want to touch or eat them. But we did and we would definitely eat here, again. Be prepared to pay $400+ for an average dinner for two.

Where to begin! From the arrival to the restaurant, the dinning experience, the delicious cocktails (espresso martini best one I’ve ever had) service is top notch, food was great and the ambiance it’s beautiful as well as the property. I’m so glad I celebrated my birthday dinner here. Everything was outstanding, thank you for such an enjoyable night! Also wanted to add they have a few but good vegetarian options. Thank you!

After reading all the glowing reviews I was so eager and excited to get a reservation for my wedding anniversary dinner. I don’t understand the one Michelin star rating and confused why this restaurant has so many glowing reviews. Perhaps this was a one off and just a bad evening for the restaurant?

I wasn’t blown away by anything we got which was the super chilled salad, half dozen oysters, lasagna and sea bass. Hubby thinks we may have ordered poorly, but for a $200+ meal, SOMETHING should have been delicious. Not sure we will return.

Great food, service and vibes. My wife and I made a dinner reservation on a Saturday evening and the place did not disappoint. We heard about this place from following Thomas Keller in social media and had some good expectations. The food was really tasty, the service was great and the decor was beautiful. Lots of green, pink, white resembling a beautiful sunset in Miami. We dined in an air conditioned patio, which felt like you were outside without the bugs or humidity. Definitely recommended. As a Thomas Keller restaurant, it’s worthy of a Michelin star in my opinion.

Food that is expertly prepared with precision, hyper-competently designed and executed, then served by highly trained and attentive waiters and bartenders in a luxurious, relaxing setting to elegantly dressed and well-heeled clientele. If you’re in Miami, and that’s your thing, then The Surf Club is where you should take yourself and others for a meal. But it comes at a steep cost and only a few can justify footing this type of bill on a regular basis. Again, if that’s your thing, and you’re in Miami, then the Surf Club is for you.
