Friday night after 7 was our arrival time on the first day of summer. The remodel looked good. Greeted soon and seated quick . Waiter was pleasant and not timid. Salad bar was clean and fresh enough, no complaints. Vegetables and soup were hot and flavorful. Entrees came without much delay. Missed the bacon on the burger though as it wasn’t entered. Burger and fries were good. Chicken strips and onion rings weren’t as good we remembered but not bad. Desserts were decent. Service slacked a bit at the end. Had to request the check and a to go container. We’ll return. 5 out of seven stars for a perfect score.

Was not pleased at all , my wait staff didn’t bring our drinks , the table was dirty we had to ask her to wipe it down. And my Philly cheese steak was burnt.

LOVE LOVE LOVED it here!! I walked in and immediately felt the presence of home cooking and southern hospitality. I was treated very well and ate even better! The salad bar and buffet was on point! Fresh greens, hot soups and chili not to mention the desserts i didn’t get to try from filling my belly with all these selections..five stars. Shoutout to Miss Brenda for being an awesome hostess

.We love this place to eat. They have the best breakfast, lunch, dinner. Anything you want anytime of day the freshest food. The chef makes the best fried flounder I’ve ever had. The salad bar has everything you would want on it. The homemade rolls are just like my mama used to make back in the 50s, to die for. Overall this is one of the best country cooking type restaurants I’ve ever been to. The foods like the country fried steak, are so homemade their desserts are all homemade the atmosphere is just a lot of locals and a few like me tourists. I really grew up there in Orange, but have been here over 50 years in Virginia Beach, so I look forward to going to country cooking every time I’m back home. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed promise.

Great service and delicious food. This was our first visit to this area. We were looking for a buffet place and this is close. You order an entire and then you can add unlimited soup and salad for an additional $2. We had sauteed chicken and beef tops. We enjoyed it. There is a BBQ, Bar and Grill across the lot from, and a Dollar General about two stores down on the same strip.

The meats are great and the potatoes options are really good. The items on the bar are good but can be a bit bland. Salt helps but everyone’s palette is different. Great salad bar options. Staff is friendly. Drink prices are a bit high so we get water.

As good now as it was several years ago when we first ate there with two hungry teens. Excellent service and freshly prepared entrees and buffet items make for a relaxed and very casual easy dining option when no one is really certain exactly what they want and all agree that a wide variety is the best option. Easy on family budgets and a place were no one leaves hungry.

Two weeks in a row I went expecting a deliciously cooked medium steak. Both weekends, after getting 2 that were well done, I gave up. Used to be a great place but has declined. And the manager was too busy in the “back room” doing paperwork to satisfy a paying customer. Will not go back again. Orange County Country Cooking shows no concern but the waitresses are great. They still got their tips.

I find the negative reviews somewhat comical. This is a country buffet – not a fine dining establishment – nothing is going to be perfect – if you want that go the the Inn at Little Washington. Overall I have found the food to be acceptable and you get far more than what you pay for. Courtesy of the waitresses could be better from time to time – but I realize they are dealing with a lot of redneck idiots who are rude and demanding and tips are horrible. I usually go for breakfast and even though I’m a senior citizen I do realize that tips are how these waitresses make their money and tip accordingly – a lot of seniors still think we are living in the 40’s and will leave a dollar – if that. I love their breakfasts even though I always find myself eating way too much.

I’ve ate at the Orange county Country Cooking over 3 times, my very first visit was okay, the waiter wasn’t to nice, but my other experiences were a lot better and the waiters were really nice and professional. There food is good to especially there chili and steak. They have a nice dessert bar as well.
