We were guided by one of their regular customer whom traveled from Illinois for the Bosnian food here to order the Pite Burek with meat filling. The food tasted great, but the puff pastry would have tasted perfect if it was toasted crispy outside.

About a month ago while out of state on a trip I had cevapi for the first time and it was amazing. Upon returning home I searched for similar restaurants and was skeptical that I’d find something as good. I guess I got lucky though because this place has amazing cevapi and the bread it’s served with is perfect. Expect to wait a bit while it cooks because it’s very obviously fresh. I don’t know about you, but I personally prefer to wait to be assured of hot and fresh food rather than reheated precooked stuff. I don’t want to dock a star over this, but just a heads up that they only had imported drinks when I went with a friend. They were quite good, but if you want something like a coke or other typical american sodas I’m not sure if they even stock them since they didn’t have any yesterday. I may update my review if they have any the next time I am able to visit.

Long-standing Bosnian deli in bevo mill that’s a wonderful place for roasted meats (the lamb & veal, sold by the pound, are ; they also offer a gigantic mjesano meso plate for reasonable prices), fresh lepinja bread for sandwiches, and gigantic stuffed pitas (bureks, filled with meats, potato, spinach, and/or cheese). Not to mention they have a wonderful ajvar selection

Excellent food. The food is incredibly satisfying. The area inside is half grocery store and half restaurant. There are only four tables for four here, so you may have to wait. All good is prepared to order as well, so it takes a bit longer, but it is definitely worth the wait!

Amazing, delicious food! Staff was friendly and helpful! Cozy little cafe. Stopped here with a friend on a week-long roadtrip and I ate everything because I was so hungry.

Awesome Bosnian fare. I personally have their Ćevapi everytime we visit. Today my husband had the gyro for the first time and it was delicious. They do choose at 7pm so not truly a place for dinner unless you order to go before closing.

For good, hearty cheap eats in St. Louis it’s hard to beat Zlatno Žito (Golden Grain) on 4573 Gravois Ave. Food cooked by three Bosnian grandmothers.
