Great food!!! Extremely nice server too. They were extremely understaffed but our server took good care of us. No alcohol served but the food was so good it makes up for the lack of drinks. I had the taco tour which was a mixture of 13 different tacos. I will be going back to this place very soon.

A local restaurant serving phenomenal food at a great price. So happy we found this place! Feels really cozy and cheery. Honestly one of the best Mexican meals I’ve ever had. Food came quickly. The staff was so sweet and helpful. We got tacos and sopes (first time ever trying the latter. The base patty/shell was basically soft like the outside of a tamale, but thicker). As you can see the sopes are somewhat dense so 2 would be perfect for a decent-sized meal.

Amazing food! You walk in and step into authenticity – wait staff is extremely friendly – Chicken tacos were awesome – If you do go order the steak Sopes. If you are in Leeds, AL this needs to be on the top of your list of places to eat!

A little bit out of the way but what a great find! The food is delicious, the service is prompt, friendly and attentive. The menu is refreshingly simple and everything is very tasty. The atmosphere is very authentic and reminds me of several taquerias we visited in Mexico. If you’re in Leeds and have a taste for tacos, La Juanita is a great choice. My family is from Mexico and I can genuinely say that this place has AUTHENTIC Mexican food. My husband says the food tastes just like his mom’s does, especially the pozole. They have a simple, fresh menu with a side bar of salsas and toppings. The restaurant is super clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you’re anywhere near Leeds!

Central Alabama and Authentic Mexican are two words that I never thought I’d heard go together until I came across this gem tucked 5/10 min from the Buc-ees off the exit.
