This was our first time at Magnolia Grille. The atmosphere is really nice. I had the blackened fish and grilled shrimp half n half seafood platter and husband had the same but fried. Both were good. The salad bar had a rich variety. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. Now… the fried green tomatoes are the best that I’ve had.

On entry, you can see this place has an upscale atmosphere with a friendly and attentive staff. We were too late for the lunch buffet (ends at 2pm weekdays), but the menu has a wide variety of fare and very fair prices. I had the seafood platter and everything was cooked to perfection.

The graduation ceremony was held here. It was very hard to pay attention because the smell of the food was insanely tempting! I couldn’t wait to get out of there to get some!

My first time eating here and it was great. The waitresses are friendly and the food was excellent. I had the buffet and everything was well cooked and not raw nor dried out. They also kept everything full with nothing running out. When in Columbia Mississippi, I definitely recommend stopping by and eating here, especially when they have the buffet.

Our first time to eat here. Party of 6 for a birthday dinner. Sat in bar. Atmosphere was very good, enjoyed the decor and cleanliness. Waitress was very personable, prompt and took very good care of us. Salad bar was well stocked and everything was very fresh. Appetizers and meals were enjoyed by all and servings were generous. Those that ordered steaks said they were cooked as ordered, juicy and tender. The only slight hiccup was that baked potatoes wouldn’t be ready for 40 minutes so substitutes were ordered. The desserts were amazing! Really enjoyed our experience and will be back!

The waitress at the front desk (with the thick glasses) seem to have a problem with black people, we waited 1hr to be seated (with a party of 22)no problem with that…but when the time comes to get seated, she says is everyone here, we said everyone except 2people….she say we’ll we can’t seat you, until the other two people arrive. I said just have them to join the dinner party once they arrive……the waitress stated, we can’t do that…so we waited a little longer. Than a caucasian couple walks to the desk and says our dinner party is already here, may we join them….sure: so they walked in and joined their dinner party, that was already seated (TURNS OUT THEY COULD DO THAT)….We asked the waitress about it and then she gets upset and starts making all kinds of excuses….we left and went to Ragin’ Cajuns down the street. They tried to ruin my wife’s birthday celebration but they didn’t.

Was passing through town around lunchtime and decided to give this place a try. We had the lunch buffet, and it was ok. The salad bar had a descent selection, and there was someone around keeping the area clean. The food part didn’t have a big selection. 2 meats and a few vegetables. I would try aging just to see if it’s better next time.

Gumbo used to be a broth type with seafood, now it’s the consistency of gravy, so salty I couldn’t eat it. Awful! Manager said it wasn’t too salty to her & recipe hadn’t changed. I used to get it every time we were in town but whatever. She was nice & did refund half the price of the meal so it’s all good, just won’t order gumbo next time. Also they did ask if I’d like something else instead. Salad bar & onion bloom was excellent. Katie our waitress was great.

Great food ! Great atmosphere!…………… Update:: The last time we went the place was not very busy at all and it took the waitress forever to come take order. The place was dirty some of the tables need to be bussed and the floor was dirty. Some of the waitresses were walking around like they had nothing to do but I will say a couple of them were running around being very attentive. Our waitress was not, we had to get up at ask another waitress that was working to help us with our drinks . The manager didn’t seem interested and what was happening too busy talking to young lady. The food was was dry and overcooked. We’ve had better meals here before. It’ll be a long time before we try this place again..
