It’s been a long while since we last came to Koi Palace Express. They simplified their menu since the pandemic but they retained all the popular items. We are happy to report that the quality of their food is still top notch. Their price is a bit higher than average but the quality of food makes it worth it. The service is fast and friendly. If you want the best Hong Kong style Chinese food in the Tri-valley, you are in the right place. Highly recommended.

Authentic Hong Kong style and taste Dim Sum. The beauty of their food lies in the details. Their dim sum flavors are balanced and subtle compared to a lot of I’m sum houses with strong flavors. This success when the skill of the chef is adequate so that the original flavors are put on the spotlight and the delicate skills of the chef in the elements can shine by itself, not the artificial flavors added.

Been a while since i went to Koi Palace, their menu changed and become smaller. The staff gave me the paper menu, but it seems to be diffrent than the dine in menu.

They just remodeled and it looks and feels very clean. Tables were well spaced apart and all the workers were wearing face masks correctly and gloves.

Koi Palace Express is a staple for us in the Dublin/Pleasanton area for the most delicious roasted duck, among other dishes which are all spectacular. This is one of our go-to spots for a satisfying meal every time. The service is great, the food is delicious. Always puts a smile on my face 🙂

Food (small portions) & service is good. 16% service charge is added to bill. With food + 16% service + tax + tip; its pricey. Forcing customers to pay the 16% is upsetting. I’d rather go to different restaurants.

Food is ok but flavors are inconsistent. Some of my dishes has no flavor but others have too much flavors. The place looks and feels dirty, especially the tables. Customer service is cold and unfriendly. Will try again but hope they will work to improve their consistency and customer service skills.

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my 5 yrs daughter; we ordered one dish. I was shocked by the 16% service fee being charged as soon as I got the bill. I ask the waitress, Batini, about the service fee for two people and one dish. She said it was the tip. The food was not good. Steam rice was old and hard to chew, char sui was too thin and dry. And service was just ok like all the other fast food restaurants. I told her I was happy to pay the tips according to the service, but she could not charge me what she wanted. Then Batini asked me to wait and called another waitress to take care of my bill. She was just as cold as the Batini and asked me to pay. I asked her what the service fee was. Then she pointed out the fine print at the bottom of the menu. I did not notice that; their waitress should have reminded all the customers. On top of that, they put a tax on the service fee in the bill. I am not going back again. Since the pandemic, their food quality has not been as good as before, and service could have been better as the food.

love their antique setting, especially the chairs and tables, sauces bottles are hidden in the middle of the table, that’s kind of cool and convenient. If you dislike the long line at the Koi Palace, this is a better choice.
