Shashimi was awesome! They had toro tuna, the fatty belly meat. Ramen was very good but probably a wrong choice when it is 100 degrees out. Service was friendly and attentive.

Absolutely incredible. I forgot to take more pictures, but every single plate was GORGEOUS. I went twice in as many days and everything was amazing both times. Prices are absolutely reasonable considering how high quality everything is, and the portions are solid. Ate myself stupid and frankly I don’t even know what everything was (that custard dish in the blue crock!!!).

Our family has been enjoying Daikichi Sushi for many years. It is constantly excellent Sushi. Service is always good. The owner is the head sushi chef! Some of our favorites include the Soft shell crab appetizer, the Tuna Berry appetizer and the Mizo soups are all delicious. We always order two sets of rolls so the shell fish can stay separate. They are very accommodating to this request. We highly recommend Daikichi Sushi!

Had pretty good soba, with a delicious broth. The miso soup was very good. Spicy tuna roll is spicy due to what looks like red pepper flakes, and I did not like it. The California roll had a little too much mayo for my taste. The teriyaki chicken was ok, the teriyaki was watery and I think the chicken was boiled. I’d go back for the atmosphere but probably not the bulk of the food.

Loved this authentic Japanese restaurant! Everything was delicious, my only complaint is that my ramen was too salty. I’m going to bring a friend and have them try the Ramen too, just to be sure. Haven’t tried their sushi yet, planning for next time, I’ll edit my review when I go again.

I found great luck in deciding to come here for dinner! Clean place, amazing aesthetic and welcoming staff. Food was stellar (Got the Spicy Miso Ramen and Cucumber Rolls) barely had a drop of food left in my bowl. Left fat and happy, and had to leave with two of their shirts (so cute). Recommend this place to all and me and the wife will be back!

The place is nice and the servers are very friendly. They served us complimentary miso soup. We ordered some sushi and katsudon. They all taste great. I will definitely come back and try other sushi and food they serve.

Our family has been going here for the last couple of years. It’s the only authentic Japanese food we can find in Chesapeake. We’ve noticed lately their sushi quality is getting worse every month. Recently we just can’t eat it. It was horrible sushi feels like Chinese own sushi. Not to mention their sushi chef will greet everyone, but it seems hard for him to smile at my family as much business as we give him – to go and dine in!

I’ve been coming to this establishment for years. My parents raised me on this sushi and I only come here! Nowhere in the Hampton Roads area compares at all. The quality is beyond mind blowing. All of the seafood is so fresh, and the Toro is amazing when they have it. 🙂 The staff are always top-notch and incredibly polite. It’s a nice quiet atmosphere with amazing food. Perfect for date nights or even grabbing a quick bite to go. 10 out of 10 recommend forever!
