The world’s best bbq. Always fresh, juicy and tender. Never any hard bits or cartilage. Amazing vinegary sauce and the Brunswick stew make you into a true believer. This place will ruin all other bbq experiences for you for the rest of your life. Very friendly service as well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Absolutely the BEST BBQ and Brunswick stew I’ve had anywhere! I live in NC where BBQ is supposed to be one of the best on the planet, and I’ve tried many of them (and in SC, too) and PURVIS BBQ beats them all! Great people. Great food. And if anything is “warmed over” as another poster says, it’s still GREAT! As a matter of fact, I’ve often asked for frozen so I can take it home and eat it when I go back.

This is not good bbq! My wife and I like to ride around the state and try different bbq restaurants and this bbq just was not good it all. And the place is dark and dusty. Will not recommend to anyone!

Purvis is a staple here, i just wish they would add more to the menu and become a true BBQ joint. The bbq has too much vinegar and a little dry, but the Brunswick Stew or Hash as we call it, is the Best in the business, i come here just for that, however, they should think about throwing in some ribs and chicken.
