We are a local family owned restaurant.
Originally opened in 1973 as a pizzeria. When you enter into the restaurant you can still see some of the 1970’s pizzeria nostalgia. Inger Dilly-Blum entered her dream of owning J’s in 2010. She completed the transformation of what was once a pizzeria to what is now a family restaurant that concentrates on home cooking with a warm atmosphere. Doing business on this basic philosophy: Is not to sacrifice quality for speed. We do not employ shortcuts in the preparation of our food & we feel that you, the customer, agree this is the way food should be prepared. The staff & management hope you will enjoy your visit & we look forward to serving you again soon!

My wife and I went for breakfast. Two issues with the food in our experience. My wife wanted her hash browns cooked well done. We both told her, almost burnt (I know, weird). They were almost undercooked. We should have sent them back, to be fair. But we wanted to see if the waitress would ask why my wife did not touch them…..she did not. My kielbasa meal was lacking too….I think I might have had 10 small slices of it in the meal and my potatoes were crunchy and undercooked. For us spending 40 bucks, I would expect to have a REALLY awesome meal. I can go to a newer place with better food anywhere else. I’m assuming it was a fluke since most reviews here are awesome, which is why we will try it again. But it was not a good first impression. Other than their coffee, which we loved a lot.

The food was fresh and tasty. Even though we were unaware we came in minutes before they were closing for the day, the service was excellent. The staff was very kind and caring especially towards our son with special needs. We will definitely return here. The cod was delicious, and my son loved his shrimp dinner. Portions are generous as well. Thank you for the welcoming experience. It’s a place where you’re treated like family. Much love.

My wife and I had a long chat with the waitress. She was quite the raconteur telling us stories of the area and the history of the restaurants and other businesses. She was very interesting to speak with. We were on a road trip so this was our only time at this restaurant. We really enjoyed it the food was great if you were looking for American traditional food at a cheap price serve quick and hot then you found the right place.

My eggs Benedict were pretty good, nice crisp hash browns and plenty of sauce. My BF liked the pancakes but they tasted just a bit charred to me. Nice service.

Took my mother in law here for mother’s day have been waiting nearly an hour for our food. If I wasn’t with family I’d have walked out already. Your ticket times should be 12-15 minutes tops. I was a cook in a kitchen with a dining room 3x this size and was able to pump out meals WELL before the 20 minutes mark ALONE. Talk to any other restaurant and that is their standard.

Small, family owned and run restaurant. The food was good and the servers were very friendly. We got there early on Sunday morning, and it was not busy, but there were people waiting for a table by the time we left.
