I can only talk about this place from a to-go standpoint. My friend and I picked up the BLT sandwich with some fries. It was hot and ready and ready to go when we were there to pick it up. The inside of the place feels like a small town diner. The person I worked with at the register was a very, very helpful. This was kind of a cool little place. Don’t let the outside fool you!

I order a scramble egg with cheese and bacon sandwich . And my sandwich was made not right at all . The Black young girl was rude and had smart mouth about helping With the order . I ask her three time before leaving out restaurants was my egg scramble she said yes fast and rude with her head down . They have good food but waitress was rude about fixing the order and not understanding

Food was awesome! Love the nostalgia of the restaurant. Had a lot of fun talking with the waitress! Wish we lived around here. We’d eat here often!

This place leaves little to be desired, if there’s nowhere open, and you’re desperate, go here. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really good. I had a skillet, which was actually good, tiny, & overpriced but, good. My friend had two sausage patties, that looked terrible, and didn’t taste so great, they also came underdone, and had to send them back, (which the waitress wasn’t happy about, because she was kind of rude). Her pancakes were kind of burnt, dark, dark brown, and the coffee was terrible. My friend ended up walking out, and refused to pay for the food, but I felt bad and paid for it. I know it’s just a little Ma and Pa shop, trying to make a few bucks, probably barely making it, it stayed busy though.. The waitress said she worked there for 40 years, so I’m guessing she is the cooks wife, and it’s probably their place. I only came here, because I had never heard of it, and I just googled something in the area so I didn’t have to travel. My friend was leery, but I am always willing to try any place, and anything and give it a shot, don’t regret it, now I know, just probably won’t be back if I can help it

Would never eat at again. I seen the waitress ignore a family for no reason. Then another family came in, which was Hispanic the owner took care of they food and service them first. Seemed very racist too me, then to read other reviews. Yes this local place need to sell again or close!!!!

$14.27 for a very small portion of breakfast..2 eggs, 1 biscuit gravy and 2 bacon is no good! 2.25 for a can of coke? Not worth it at all. Better choices around.

Good food and service but the place really looks old inside. I suppose that’s part of its charm.

If you can get past the uninviting entrance and a glass door that hadn’t seen Windex in a long time, the food is very good. A bit tattered around the edges, a working blue collar class of diners but the you’d be surprised how great the breakfast food is! Real ham off the bone and plenty of it. Coffee ☕ refills and a friendly waitress make this historic South Hammond diner, a great experience.

Racist establishment. I stood be door waiting to be seated for ten minutes. I then sat us down at a table. The racist waitress never acknowledged our presence. A Mexican family walked in and we’re immediately greeted.
