You gotta love Florio’s for their delicious New York style pizza. Certainly my favorite in San Antonio for this kind of style. The crust is well cooked and tasty. The sauce is delicious and the pizza slices themselves are thin and crispy just the way I like it. Prices are very good, especially for the quality. Service was definitely on point. I will be returning soon. Highly recommended.

I want to love this place I really do. A two slice lunch special for under $6 is pretty awesome but it just wasn’t great. The sauce was underwhelming and kind of watery. The cheese was soupy. The crust was really good though, reminded me of a sour dough or something. The lunch deal is half the price of other places and the pizza slices are half the size of other places.

It’s clear this place has been around for a while and it’s character shows in the atmosphere. This place is the place for New York style pizza. I was told the original worker here was a true New Yorker and gave the place a unique-not-so-subtle experience with her presence.

This pizza was definitely not good or anything like a New York Pizza. The dough was very poorly cooked; very undercooked in spots and only light brown elsewhere – no char whatsoever. So, obviously the texture and taste was off as well. I ordered extra cheese and paid for that and was shocked to have so little cheese on the pizza. If that was extra cheese I would sure hate to see what a normal amount of cheese would have been. I mean, are you kidding me? Simply ridiculous. Never going back. Please don’t waste your time, money or taste buds on this place.

Just tried Florio’s for the first time, and what can I say… I’m impressed! Got greeted promptly and had some great service while waiting for my takeout order. The pizza and cannoli were delicious!

I would’ve never found this place if my friend didn’t take me here…. and I’m glad he did! This has got to be the best pizza I’ve had in such a long time!!! New York site pizza to perfection! Thin yet crisp, and amazing flavors with oregano spices. The pepperoni they use is amazing! I was really impressed. Steve, the owner is such a great guy, very friendly. They’ve been in business for 23+ years, so I recall. His family started the business from New Jersey. I highly recommend this place ! You’re not going to find a pizza that tastes just as awesome as this place. I’ve been searching for a place here in San Antonio that has this exact taste as the pizzas I’ve had back home , and it’s here! Yummmmm!!!! . It also has a very chill, welcoming vibe and a 50’s diner feel. I’ll surely be coming around and bringing my friends here! Thank you Steve!

Pizza with pepperonis and meatballs. We also ordered 2 chicken parm sandwiches and 2 cannolis. Loved it!!! Fresh tasting, love the thin crust. Ingredients are very tasty and fresh. No pic because food got devoured. Stop by, you won’t regret it.

Our experience was horrible from the start. I felt like I was bothering the cashier, he was very short and rather rude, when I asked him basic info. We ordered a stromboli and a calzone. Both were burnt. The stromboli has cheese and chopped ham. I ordered a side of sauce. It tasted like chef boyarde. Straight out of a can. Nothing authentic here. Very disappointed, was afraid of owner so never said anything. You know when you burn food very disappointing..

I grew up in New York and lived in the tristate area for 20 something years. This pizza is as close as I’ve gotten in Texas to enjoying something that tasted like it came from home. I’m not sure if it’s fantastic or just nostalgia, but I love it. Dining in, taking out, always a good experience.
