The flavors had me going into a trance. Genuinely one of the most tasteful eateries in Georgetown i’ve ever been. The food is prepared FRESH and obviously with love because each bite felt like a dream. I ate here with my boyfriend and we usually talk during meals but we were SILENT this time… that’s how you know the food is good. We got the chicken masala, lamb vindaloo, and mango lassi. Everything was unbelievable delicious and filling (we still have leftovers!! (rare)) 100000/10 coming back again and again because i’m already craving this place. COME AND GRUB YOU WONT REGRET!

I came in with my family for a meal, food was fair, I was a bit more taken aback by the bathroom. Not clean. No soap whatsoever and their own restroom log for quality control was not filled out – blank. No wonder they were completely out of soap and didn’t know immediately where the extra soap was.

Georgetown is a delightful place for eateries and as Indian is my favorite cuisine it was a no-brainer to try this restaurant for lunch. It isn’t a lavish place with expensive silverware and plates but it is clean and the food is first rate. The owner made sure my lamb vindaloo was off the scale in terms of heat and the flavor and richness of the gravy was superb.

I went on a Saturday night and ordered the vindaloo! Loved my experience. The food was great and the spice was PERFECT. The portions were very large. I only finished because I refused to throw it away! The owner was extremely welcoming and took the time to talk to my friend and I. He shared a sample of his new dish that he’s testing out. Very human experience, so glad I went!

Naan was extremely hard. It was literally impossible to bite, so we exchanged it for rice. Goat curry didn’t taste like curry and was a bit sour. Don’t know if it was spoiled or supposed to be that way. Chicken saag (spinach dish) was good. Trash was also over flowing out of the trash cans and had to resort to putting it on top of the trash can. Overall, it’s an okay Indian restaurant with reasonable price and portion. Probably wouldn’t come back though. I live in NY anyways!

This is THE place for biriyani or samosas. I’ve tried almost every Indian spot around DC and Arlington, and this delicious hole in the wall sits high on my list for takeout. The butter chicken could use less tomato paste, and the naan could be a bit crispier, but that’s me being picky. Every time my partner and I have tried to do takeout from Masala Street on a weekend night, they’ve had to turn us away because they had too many orders. We were successful on a Wednesday night, however, and we look forward to coming back.

We order food through Uber Eats. The taste was so lovely and the right spicy level based on our request. I had Naan, Butter chicken, and Lamb biryani. All the items were good.
