Service was superb!! Our server was amazing: brought food out blazing hot and freshly made, water glasses were always topped off and wait for food was reasonable. Now to the food. Lots of very flavorful good food. Price is very good for quantity and quality of food. Overall yes I’d eat here again and bonus. As we sat there we saw an older lady come to pick up a to go order and the servers carried everything out for her, now that’s service!

Garden Island was a nice quick dinner, the food was hot and came quick, both my sweetie and I had the #7 which was Pork ribs, BQ chicken & BQ steak we both upgraded to fried rice and had two cokes. The dinner was $38 something.

Had lunch here today with my wife while passing through town. The service was OK but not as responsive as you would like it to be. The food options we chose were good just not anything special. The place itself is very plain and simple inside – read as not much on atmosphere. Overall I would rate this place 3.5 but I cannot do that and it doesn’t reach a status of 4.

VERY UNSANITARY, bugs and cockroaches in Mac salad and chicken crust, Call the restaurant and the lady who answered acted oblivious to what I was saying then hung up. Long story short, avoid this place if you don’t want to get sick and waste time grabbing inedible food.

Szechuan eggplant with ground pork was burning hot and delicious, just the way it should be. Roast duck and char siu were also good. Was looking for some authentic Chinese food / a break from poke, and this was it. Admittedly our curiosity was piqued due to prior review mentioning a cucaracha in the mac salad, so we went in with a sense of mild danger (but first of all, why order mac salad at a Chinese restaurant unless you are feeling dangerous?) Happily no cucarachas seen. No frills, not fancy, but tasty and would come again.

I gave this 3 stars because the food was served fast, tasty, and hot! But the service was not friendly at all and no good vibes of hospitality. They have extensive menu including quite a few vegetarian dishes. The service was excellent and the pricing was reasonable. The portion sizes were huge and can easily fill up a hungry adult and still have some leftovers. The staff are very patient, attentive, and provide great service. I tried their Chicken Combo and BBQ Combo and everything tasted pretty good. The Chicken Katsu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would definitely recommend this place over other Chinese/BBQ restaurants. This is many times better than the similar restaurant in Kapaa and its worth driving down here.

so great! eating here is one of the best things we’ve done in Hawaii! It feels like generations of locals run this place and eat here. The portions are large the price is unreasonably reasonable and really delicious. For 2, consider one of the mixed grills and one of the plates of vegetables. It will be enough for most!

Service was quick, ordered the bbq short ribs and kung pao, it was just ok, it’s all chinese food even though the name implies it’s hawaiian, the bbq ribs to me had a peculiar taste.
