You see I tried to be understanding because as a business owner I know how much word of mouth and reviews could effect somones business but STOP PLAYING WITH PEOPLE!!! I had the worst catering experience this past weekend catering BBQ for my pool party from Big D BBQ for one my queue to not order from them should’ve been when the husband got upset I wanted an explanation of the quote saying nobody evers questions them.. lol Me trying to still support them because I’ve heard good things from them paid my deposit and ignored the red flag. For starters they completely forgot my sides saying she couldnt find my email offered to deliver them which they did over 2 hours laters. When they delivered the sides I told them about how their ribs smelled like fesses … Im not even exaggerating, I was gaging in their face because I couldn’t help it and they were saying they didnt smell anything but smoke bbq… when EVERYONE else smelled it! They wanted to bring back more ribs to make it right and I told them it was okay I would prefer the money back no one is going to eat them after that experience. Well they took their ribs & chicken and said they would refund me the money for the meat (which hasn’t been done) I only had frozen hamburgers and hotdogs they made to feed my guests because the sides ended up being disgusting the mac n cheese tasted artificial it tasted like a chili pasta and the baked beans were literally straight out the can SO EMBARRASSING!!! At the end of the party I reached out explaining my experience and to request a full refund because it literally wasn’t catering standards and sent pictures along to a sure I wasn’t lying that nobody touched the food. Well this was on Saturday it is now Monday and I haven’t heard anything back, my messages get ignored and its beyond unprofessional of them to be doing this. I will share this with the world because I expected better and God don’t like ugly!!

I have been a loyal customer if Big D’s Barbecue for about ,five years now. I have been constantly impressed with the quantity and quality of the food and service. When I was working and in charge of selecting companies to do catering for events, they were always my go-to company. His experience in cooking not only barbecue, but any kind of food is exceptional. I am now I still make a point to support and encourage others to do the same!!! I wish this small business nothing but success!!

I have eaten a lot of BBQ and I must say that this meat is flavorful and really falls off the bone. You can’t go wrong with any of the sides they are just as tasteful. If you are ever in Tallahassee on the weekend please stop by.

One star is actually too many…if there were 0 stars it would still be too many. I attended a catered event this past weekend where I witnessed bbq at its absolute worst. My spouse bit into a rib and immediately almost vomited everywhere due to an awful wreaking scent that smelled worst that diarrhea. Not to mention the catering did not come with sides even though my friend ordered sides. After over two hours of waiting for sides it was bought to Big D’s Mgmt the awful smell the rib produced and instead of apologizing and instantly refunding my friend, they decided to take the container of meat back leaving us with only frozen hamburgers and dried out hotdogs. Also, the one rib I managed to eat was beyond dry and a lack luster for taste. The sides they did offer extremely late was a Mac and cheese that my dog could’ve literally made better. Nowhere, have I ever tasted Mac and cheese with a chili Mac flavoring. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the baked beans were beyond disgusting. No one ate them because they were literally overflowing with liquid. I must say the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

It’s not the worst barbecue I’ve ever had, but it’s my least favorite in the Tallahassee market. The “brisket” (eye roll) already had sauce on it. To me, that is a sin. Sides are limited, bland and the menu is very expensive. Not having cole slaw is unforgivable..

Just about the most flavorful BBQ stand in town. The meat was seasoned well and tender. From the ribs to the potato salad and the baked beans everything was delicious. Catch them when you can!

It’s not good or has any taste… Literally the sauce & meat is bland plus the lemonade they’re selling is country time lemonade mix with nasty tap water. You’re better off going to other barbecue places around Tally that’s flavorful, fulfilling and also won’t break the bank.
