This is the ONLY Mexican restaurant in Pagosa or Durango that serves amazing birria tacos or stew!! It’s hands down the BEST I’ve ever had. Also the carne asada, pollo asado are moist, generous and great cuts of meat. The crispy chili relleno is fantastic ! We love eating here and Beny is a delight and is so willing to make our experience exceptional every time.

The most authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had. We enjoyed our food and drinks. We’re traveling from Texas and came to visit the springs. This place is the bomb! We’re glad we picked this for dinner! Would definitely come back for this! Very well worth every penny! Great service too!

The salsa might melt your face but just about anything else on the menu will make you happy. Anything we tried so far was delicious. We will return for sure.

My margarita ‘skinny’ is perfecto! Had a few too many only because his staff is pretty charming and the games on the TV are the bang with the collective crowd he gathers! Football, soccer, baseball, basketball always draws a good group. Did mention the food is authentic Mexican!

Let me start off with saying I love Mexican food and eat it most of the time. This was my first time here and I was very disappointed. The food and service were lacking. It started off great but as soon as we ordered it went downhill. We got our food and the queso tasted like it was from a jar from the supermarket. The chicken quesadilla was drowning in oil and was very chewy. The person who was with me got a burrito and he found a piece of egg in it. He did not order a burrito with eggs in it. The server did not check on us till 15-20 minutes after the food was dropped off. We had no refills the entire time until he brought the check. I will say that I did mention the quesadilla and he took it off the bill.

Maybe it was an off night, but it was just ok. We came on a Monday night, sat ourselves. Ordered our food and by the time we got it, everything was cold. I had to ask for my lettuce and cilantro for my tacos (which I asked for when I ordered) because my tacos just had cheese. The chicken tasted funky. The drinks were good, chips and salsa were delicious, but no one wants to eat cold food.

Overpriced hot plate Mexican. Food was barely passing. Don’t recommend. Service was friendly and atmosphere is good.

I was there for 7 AM opening. I was in the mood for something different so I ordered off menu and they hit a home run for me! I got a bowl of New Mexico green chili, beans and pork. Tortillas. It was so good I got three more orders to go. I’m only in the area once a year, and I will definitely be making this an annual stop. Also next year, in addition to breakfast, I will be bringing the family here for dinner one night. You have to give this place a try!

I was impressed by the prices, not the food. Three dried beef tacos, no ,onions nor cilantro for $18.00! One mediocre Margarita for $12.00.

Hands down the best restaurant in downtown Pagosa, it is truly a hidden gem of a restaurant. The food, atmosphere and service are always excellent and the quality is dependable. It is also one of the only restaurants here that is actually open past 8 and willing to seat you without feeling like you are imposing on them or even being refused. This is definitely my favorite place to go
