Best sushi spot in town with a great happy hour menu. We usually sit at the bar and marvel at the art that the chefs here create. The servers and chefs offer great service and are extremely friendly, even offering suggestions if you’re not sure of what you want to order. The fish is unbelievably fresh and all the dishes we had were amazing. The Japanese Style Steamed Cheese Cake is the best cheese cake I’ve ever had. It’s soft and spongy which is the last thing you’d expect but trust me, it’s amazing. Put your faith in the chef and order the Omakase and chase it down with a local wine from Selin Cellars.

This sushi restaurant is the REAL DEAL! Chef is so talented and creative. If you love sushi and are in for a flavor adventure, let him know… then sit back and trust him. We loved one thing after the next so much, we forgot to take more pictures. Everything was truly amazing and one of the best sushi experiences ever. We were in town four days, and ate here twice. We’ll be back and thanks so much to Team Asahi for the friendly service!

I truelly love this restaurant. It feels very personable, as if you are stepping into someone’s home. The first time we visited Asahi Sushi was a year ago and it was so good that we still talk about it a year later. So of course while in town, I made it my priority to get a meal at Asahi Sushi & Kitchen. Once again it did not disappoint. The meal started with Miso soup + clam. It tasted just like the soup I’ve had in Japan. The soup was followed by Sunomono, Ebi shrimp with fried head, the Surf clam from Japan, the real California hand roll (yum!), Unagi, and finally the Uni as the dessert. A beautiful Saturday afternoon in Healdsburg. Many great dining options. We walked around the downtown area; skipped a posh looking restaurant; and chose this warm and cozy one. What a nice find. Tempura vegetables were perfect – batter was light and complimented the veggies. Soft shell crab sushi rolls were on the special menu – wow. Their house brewed green iced tea was exactly right. Prices are fair. Service made for a great experience. A hidden jewel for anyone, especially sushi lovers.

We love coming here! Fresh fish, nice variety of rolls, good sake! Always great service, too. I just wish all menu items were always available, but I get that they only get their fish shipments from Japan on Thursdays and want to serve the freshest fish.

Stopped in for lunch and was completely blown away. Service was great, food got out fast, and everything was perfect. The wagyu a5 is an experience, best food I’ve ever had. The vegetable tempura was also amazing.

Went here last night, sit at the bar and order the specials. You will not be disappointed. Pictured is salmon, scallops, red snapper, shrimp, and hamachi. There’s probably more that I can’t remember. Totally worth going. Chef nobu is amazing and knows how to prepare delicious sushi!
