Easy reservation process through their website. We needed to change time and it was easy to do. This elegant restaurant sits in the rolling forest hills of otter tail county just south of verges. The outside atmosphere is beautiful. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We visited on a wed night.. the menu changes from time to time. My selection was Chicken Milanese. Crispy chicken breast cutlet on top of a bed or tortellini in a cream sauce. The sauce was nothing I have ever had… wonderful and a very full portion. My partner is allergic to fructose, so she asked if the chef would slightly alter her order of encrusted salmon. They did and the salmon was perfect. The diner was leisurely and we enjoyed a quaint dinner. It’s not often that you find this level of culinary talent in such a rural setting. Great mid-point to our vacation in the area… thank you.

This is a great restaurant. I was there on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar. I had great service. Drinks didn’t go empty and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Plus the food tasted FANTASTIC.

Wow! This cozy space was a great night out this wintery weekend. The glazed pork tenderloin was fantastic. With one bartender and one server, they were bustling to keep everyone happy. But everyone seemed relaxed and happy to just enjoy the experience. I’m glad we had reservations; winter seating had only 7 tables.

Where do I start? We visited on Friday the 4th in the late evening. We were seated in a covered patio, which was so cute. I ordered the lemon feta chicken, which ended up being the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant. The service was great (our server was a sweetheart and had a great sense of humor!) We also tried a bunch of desserts, and all were great, but especially the oreo ice cream cake. The drive is a bit much, but WELL worth it. I recommend that everyone try Blackboard, and I hope I can get back here before summer ends!

Well worth the drive for us! Staff were very nice and attentive, corn salsa starter was delicious. Black pepper bourbon pork filet was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Portions are big, come hungry.

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and very delicious food. This is a gem and people know it, so I recommend making a reservation. I also had a lavender mule and it was so good! Thank you for a wonderful date night! Beautiful seasonal outdoor dining and social seating options as well.

I visited Blackboard with a good friend last night. I was skeptical because I had a few people tell me they weren’t satisfied with the service and it’s a lot to pay to not have good service. I am glad I went and was able to form my own opinion. It was literally the BEST service I had ever received. From the reservation to the moment I left, the service was stellar! I purchased a bottle of wine and never once did I even have to fill my glass. They were observant and would rush over when it was getting low to refill it. The food was amazing. The presentation was off the charts. They stayed open late for my friend and I and the owner came out to greet us and we just hung out with them while we enjoyed the rest of our wine. No one rushed us, they literally let us just soak up every second of this experience. My bill was $100. I tipped $50 because I was so impressed! So worth the drive! The place was beautiful, relaxing and warm! I will be a regular from here on out! Thank you Blackboard. It was a wonderful night!
