BEST PIZZA BY FAR IN CT!! I’m from NY and this pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had across the board, definitely the best in CT. I got the Detroit style pizza and OMG it was so good, the bottom is so crispy, everything was so fresh and I added hot honey on top and just wow. I meant to take a picture but it was gone before I could, drove an hour to try this pizza and will definitely be coming back! Thanks Lorenzo

Joe’s Pizzeria in New Canaan is about the best you can hope for – low key keeping it real but with solid quality on their menu. One of the best things about this place is the different types of pies they offer in addition to the standard NYC style pie you can get Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit style pies, as well as different cook levels and thin or thick crust. They’re diverse enough to either feed the entire little league team or a group of adults looking for a classier / higher quality pie.

Best pizza around. Very nice owner. He remembers me from when I used to work in area years ago. I remember eating there often and still do when I am in area since I live a little further south. Large menu with pizza, pasta, salads, veal, sandwiches, wings, and a multitude of appetizers. A few counter like seats inside and outdoor seating in summertime.

The pizza is OK if you can get one fresh from the oven. I get skeptical when a place opens and they already have partial pizzas sitting out ready to serve. (Yesterday’s anyone?) The lack of customer service doesn’t help this place. However, the pizza is tasty if you don’t mind the service and you get a slice in the middle of the day.
