So far so great. With the one exception noted below, everything is as tasty and well presented as at the flagship restaurant. The excellent smoked butter shows up as a condiment with the steak bavette, as does the peppercorn sauce. The calamari with the poblano vinaigrette was excellent. The cocktail offerings are on average sweeter than at Alderwood but very good in that context. Burger is as always stellar, we had the western bacon cheeseburger equivalent.

So happy they opened this mini Alderwood! The happy hour is legit!! Am over the moon for their oysters! The cocktails are not playing—be ready. Love the Jean Phillip bubbly. :)).

Seriously, one of the best burgers I have ever had. Seriously, more than a dozen states in the US and Mexico (including Texas) and one of the best burgers even! (Cali-bacon). Just get it and try it it!

Wow – what an amazing find in the heart of Santa Cruz! Absolutely outstanding service (really; attention to detail from the GM to our server to the supporting team). The cuisine was fantastic. Don’t miss the grilled avocado or the pomme frites to start. I had the Rigatoni (added shrimp) as my entree and it was delicious. I complimented my meal with the Cucumber Crush cocktail and I savored every drop.

My wife and I are big fans of Alderwood restaurants in Santa Cruz. Alderwood Pacific is great for date nights and the main Alderwood restaurant is more upscale and ideal for special occasions. We like how this place finds ways to give us new food/flavor experiences with almost every dish. They take comfort food and put a delicious spin on it (e.g. calamari dish was out of this world). Staff are friendly (our server Blake was excellent). There aren’t very many places like this in Santa Cruz.
