Merry Christmas
Jody’s is a fantastic alternative to big chain fast food restaurants. Food is consistently good. Jody burgers are great and you can get them with an array of toppings. I don’t care for their fries (I prefer crinkle cut) but their onion rings make a yummy side. Their strawberry shortcake is delicious when it’s available. They often have special shake flavors that are good.

Thought it was an ” old school” restaurant. Not exactly, you order at the counter & they bring it out. Our food was delicious-harvest salad, Jody burger w/hand dipped onion rings. All the food that came out looked delicious, including the desserts. The atmosphere was a little quiet for my taste.

I remember going here decades ago when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Mostly older people eat here, but it is very kid friendly as well. I came here with my girlfriend who had the chicken dinner. The five chicken pieces are quite small with minimal flavor. The fries weren’t that great as they were served on top of the main course that would make them soggy. We had the chili for one of the sides, which didn’t have much flavor but a fairly thick consistency if you prefer that. The salads were okay, just weren’t perfectly fresh. They didn’t have thousand island dressing which I prefer, so I settled for their caesar ranch that comes in a generous 1.5 oz packet. My cod fish was fried very well. However, they are very reasonably priced, just not quite the same quality that I remember.

Very friendly staff and good food! Mac and cheese was really good. It was difficult to dine in with 2 toddlers because none of the tables had space for multiple high chairs.

Visiting a friend in Grand Rapids Michigan, he insisted on taking me out to Rockford to visit Jody’s for their infamous strawberry shortcake.. and the restaurant didn’t disappoint!

Ate here a few times. The food is always good and is just what I needed for the evening after a long day. Would highly recommend eating here over the competitor nearby.

The food is good. Employees are friendly. You do have to put your trash and dishes in the according receptacles, but it’s nice to use real dishes and silverware. The owner is always around helping out. Comfortable casual atmosphere.

I really liked it overall and will definitely try it out again. A couple of issues with my food though, a piece of paper was in my hamburger, the little square that separates cheese slices. The tea tasted old and bitter, not freshly made. Finally, the pecan roll was very dry, but the taste was good.
