Absolutely the best southern food I’ve found anywhere. The pork chops were seasoned perfectly. Please, please go here, so we can continue to have the best food for 500 miles. And the mac & cheese is beyond good. Big portions and the best sides. I can’t wait to time my trip going through the area again. I would vouch for these guys on anything they cook from pork chops to local fish.

Okay, I always pass this place but rarely see people in and out. I was so tired of the regular so I stopped by. The manager was very nice. As was her spouse. But when I got my ribs I had to keep flipping to see where the meat was. Then I said,”Let me dog into these collard greens . They tasted like water. I’m a healthy eater but I like a little salt to taste. There is nothing that reeked of soul food here

Gwen and her staff went beyond all expectations to ensure that my uncle James had a great birthday celebration. From the warm welcome, to the decorations, birthday cake, the excellent service and the delicious food– everything was absolutely perfect. I recommend Madeleines Kitchen to anyone who enjoys delicious fare at reasonable prices. It’s only a few miles off I-95 North or South and is well worth a few extra minutes.

Oh no…the mashed potatoes were spoiled also the macaroni and cheese. SPOILED. YUCK. SLICE OF CAKE was so old it too was inedible. Broccoli was not good. Meatloaf was like a big baked hamburger with ketchup on top. It was very hard in the middle. This is second time I’ve tried this place. Never again. I thought maybe with time the food would get better. Didn’t happen. Last time I tried to eat there I got a chicken sandwich. In my tray was a big chicken breast that was raw at the bone and two pieces of white bread not even toasted just loose in the tray???? Can’t believe health dept hasn’t shut them down. Selling spoiled food and raw chicken.

Lip smacking & mouth watering is absolutely right at Madelines Kitchen. I eat there almost everyday, can’t seem to make up mind between the crab cake dinner, the meatloaf or the fried chicken so I rotate.

If you want some lip smacking ,mouth watering down to earth cooking come on over to Madelines Kitchen located in Weldon,N.C. L brought a baked chicken, with Mac and Cheese , cabbage, corn bread,tea and a slice of cake. It was banging !!! She has everything on her menu . So come on down !!!
