At our Evansville, IN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

They are constantly closing early, can’t rely on them to keep true to their hours I’d drive all the way there and they’d tell me they threw out all their food already 30 mins to an hour before closing or they just leave you sitting there ignoring the intercom till you drive away.

Been to this restaurant about 4 times, but never got want I ordered. I ordered fish and chicken I got shrimp. I asked if there was a fork in the bag. I was told yes, there was no fork. The fish is very very greasy and small. The hushpuppies are good. For $17 I go elsewhere!

If you’re a senior looking to be treated rudely look no further. I ordered a two piece fish dinner on Wednesday, discount for seniors and was charged full price. When I asked about the discount the counter woman rudely replied “you have to tell us”. I’m 70, wearing a Vietnam vet cap; really? I have to tell you I’m a senior? If you don’t want us there don’t pretend to offer a discount. Just continue to be rude and disrespectful. I got the message.

I have to praise them for promptly taking care of a mistake. I received a meal that wasn’t what I ordered. I called as soon as I got home and surprisingly enough the man apologized and said he would immediately fix my right order if I would come back. I did and was greeted by this man nicely and within minutes I had my meal and another apology. How refreshing! Thank you for your great service and this man certainly deserves praise for his actions. I certainly appreciate his demeanor and politeness!
