I’ve stopped here twice now, and it was just a tad above average. It will definitely satisfy my craving for homeland cooking, but it will not replace SN. Again, thanks to BRANDON’s economy, I think these prices are crazy, but who knows? I’m just cheap, I guess. I will definitely stop again, but it might have to be a lunch thing, I recalled that the evening hours might be something to reconsider when wanting to go here.

We are so happy to find this place. We ordered chicken and special sandwiches to go, and the sandwiches were delicious. We are definitely coming back. It was worth driving 1 1/2 hours for these delicious sandwiches.

Viet Kitchen is one of my favorite spots in Madison. Their Pho, Bánh Mi, Bún, and drinks are all delicious.

Nice hidden gem! This is the best Vietnamese sandwiches I’ve had, definitely better than anything I can find in Chicago! The ingredients were high quality, you can tell that they take great pride in their food. The meat portions in the sandwiches were generous and the herbs were perfectly fresh and crunchy. I did not try their pho but it is on the to-do list for when I’m in Madison again.

They have a simple menu, easy to navigate. They have large or extra large sizing for pho and large was more than enough for me. Their summer rolls are called sweet rolls FYI. The pho broth was a little too oily for me honestly. It was still good though. Their sweet rolls were on point though. Might try their tofu dishes next time.

This place is opened during pandemic, so I sympathize with them.

The food is ok but overpriced. A large combination pho costs $18. Honestly this is priciest pho I’ve ever had, even more expensive than those in Boston / CA.

Once again I forgot to take a photo of the food because it smelled so tasty and I was so hungry!

I ordered the chicken Pad Thai to go. When I picked it up I thought to my self, ‘this better be really good” the weight can be deceiving. Plenty for lunch and a little left over for the misses! The quality, texture, and taste is some of the best I have had. I will be returning for lunch again, soon I hope.

Disappointed with my experience here today. I ordered the large rare steak and meatball pho, but received overcooked steak, 2 “meatballs”, and lukewarm broth. The broth tasted lovely, but wasn’t even warm enough to break apart my clump of noodles. We also ordered the grilled pork bahn mi and it was hardly filled. What was there tasted great, but the sandwich was like 90% bread and 10% filling.
