This review is for their specialty coffees. My husband and I met some family here while vacationing in the beautiful Black Hills last week. The service was great and the coffees were good but so sweet. We both got iced coffee. I had to ask for more expresso in mine because it was so overly sweet. She did charge me for it. We didn’t get any food but have heard wonderful things about it. Gorgeous flowers in the shaded outside seating area.

I struggle giving this rating, but in this case it’s deserved. Looking at all the other pictures and reviews, I expected something way better than what amounted to a school lunch made by someone who can’t cook. I waited 10 minutes to get my coffee. Then I waited 35 minutes more to get… this. I ordered the eggs over easy btw. I get the impression that this may be a random bad-food experience at this venue, as so many others shared much better examples and experiences. Mine, however, ended up in the trash after one bite.

Wonderful breakfast! I had a toasted gluten free bagel with guacamole. Peppers, onions, tomatoes perfectly grilled. Country potatoes. A fruit bowl ( the fruits were really fresh and well ripped). Highly recommend this place!

Loved our breakfast here—the avocado toast was delicious. Very sweet waitstaff. Cinnamon rolls and caramel rolls were sold out by the time we got there late morning—get there early!

So here’s the thing. I love good French toast. The carmel apple French toast I had at The Black Hills Bistro is the best French toast I can recall having. It wasn’t just the caramel apple topping (which was awesome). The French toast itself was superb. My wife had breakfast tacos that she loved as well. We sat outside today in moderate temps and enjoyed the atmosphere of downtown Hill Coty. We will be returning.

We loved everything about this place. It has really good coffee and the food was outstanding! I had the avocado toast with country potatoes ,fruit bowl ,and a carmel latte. My husband had eggs, bacon ,english muffin , country potatoes and a carmel latte. Our waitress was so busy but still gave us great service. We tipped her 20 dollars to let her know she was awesome. We highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great location on Main Street with home cooked food. We stopped for breakfast and lunch. Seating on porch looking over Main or small indoor seating. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
