The taco salad with chicken, rice, beans salsa & guac was Delicious!! The homemade salsa that was amazing. Large beef tacos were excellent too. Large portions, reasonable prices. Will definitely go again!!!

Came upon this little taco stand in the middle of a field off the backroads heading towards Smugglers Knotch. Our car of 2 teens and 4 adults needed something to reduce the hangry, and The Taco Joint delivered! Proprietor was not upset when we asked to remake a burrito without cheese, and the picnic tables out there in the grass parking area gave us a place to decompress having been held up in the car for 6 hours. Beef was well seasoned and the randomness and belly busting of it all made for a nice sunset overlooking the mountain countryside. $6/pp including drinks, menu included large and small tacos, loaded nachos and burritos. Make The Taco Joint part of your VT mountain journey!

Tacos on the side of the road in Vermont? This unassuming place caught my eye early in the morning. I was headed back home right at noon and they were open. Perfect! I’m so glad I stopped for a quick lunch. I had 2 large chicken tacos fully loaded. I was impressed with the portions, taste, and the staff were excellent as well. Will definitely stop again next time I’m headed by, and may even make the 2 hour trek with the whole family.

I got the pork taco. It was all very fresh, the meat was juicy and condiments were piled high. The problem is it lacked any flavor I don’t even think they added salt and pepper. I did try the nachos and the beef had flavor but I didn’t care for it. I hate to say it but I would not go back.

Always great food here. The nacho grande is perfect if you show up with an appetite! They’ll make burritos to your specs too. Their chipotle sauce is the bomb. Worth the drive from anywhere!
