Basil India has quickly become one of my favorite consistently delicious, low-key restaurants to bring friends to. I have tried several dishes and am repeatedly surprised with the flavor and quality of each dish. The portions are larger than they look, and even without appetizers we couldn’t finish! Spice levels are hot enough to enjoy but not overwhelming. The service is responsive to the needs of the customers and the restaurant had an enjoyable vibe with good music, plants, and beautiful art work.

These dishes run HOT but are very flavorful. It was a good meal. The wait staff were attentive. We will be going back.

I don’t know what this is, but it isn’t chicken Pad Thai. It tastes like a bland tomato based curry on egg noodles. I’ve had the Pad Thai at least once since it switched from Basil Spice to Basil India and it was fine before. Not sure what changed but don’t bother getting this dish, it’s terrible. Especially for $17 before tax and tip.

Positive feedback- One of the best place I have visited! A perfect mix of Indian and Thai cuisine.

The vegetarian options here were fantastic! The side of bread was recommended and worth it. This was my first taste of puffed lotus seeds and any Indian cuisine at all, and it certainly left me with a great impression! Tikka masala.

Walked by this place on my way to Jay’s international, having eaten at Terror Tacos and saw they offered a Vegan Tikka Masala; we made a mental note of this vegan offering. Fast forward a couple weeks and we were looking for a new vegan lunch spot and the Mister remembered this place. I’m happy to report that the food was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is inviting even though not gigantic. The thing is, the vegan lunch options in STL are great but few in number. So often it feels like you keep visiting the same food. Basil Indian is a new vegan lunch option on my list. Though not entirely vegan, they have options. I’ll be back and you should go check them out too. Or maybe not, because then I’ll be waiting in line for a table .

Good is very tasty, however , menu is limited as they are transitioning to non Thai style only Indian food.

Stopped in on a whim. Service was excellent. Food was wonderful. I had the vegetarian Tikka masala and it was so good! Naan was also delicious. Thinner and crispier than we’ve had at other places, but very good.
