The Salem Opry House is a Catfish House with a History. This neat lil place hidden just a short distance outside of Collins, Ms. When you first pull up, well, the building itself will have your undivided attention, but the best part happens after you get inside and get seated. The decor is amazing. The food is great and the amount of food served to you will blow your mind. The prices are very reasonable. I had hush puppies, cole slaw, turnip greens( best I have ever tasted), fried crab claws, 12 pieces of catfish filets, baked potato, and 3 glasses of the best sweet tea. (No I didn’t eat it all). The price. $38.00. Can not be beat and I have eaten at a lot of fish houses around this country and this ranks as one of the best. Treat yourself and family if you live within 100 miles, take a ride and enjoy dinner.

THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! My blackened fish must’ve been minnows. I had to wait 30 minutes for my food after my family got theirs. It was cold and they acted like forgetting my food wasn’t a big deal.
