Went out for dinner with my husband and we were both absolutely floored by our meals. The hibachi and sushi rolls were absolutely amazing. I’m unsure why this place isn’t talked about more but I think this may be the best sushi downriver.

New to Grosse Ile, so trying the restaurants here for the first time. Ume did not disappoint. This is the hibachi chicken take out, came with soup or salad. I got the miso soup and it was delicious. The food is so good. Fresh, hot and good portioning.

This was the BEST hibachi grill I have ever had! Five stars is not even enough stars! I can’t wait to go back to try the sushi. The sushi chef was extremely busy. Carry out orders were non stop.

Really enjoyed the food and the staff was super friendly but super slow. It took about 30 minutes to get our miso soup. I will definitely be back for carry out but I don’t know about dining in.

I think they have very good food. Enjoy the hibachi and sushi a lot. Only constructive feedback I have is the wait time. Usually, the wait time will be anywhere from 15-20 min extra what they say. Have ordered dozens of times but has NEVER been on time. One time waited nearly 30 minutes. Understand they are very busy but it is becoming way too much and can be disrespectful of customers time. They should give more accurate time of what is expected. Otherwise they have great food that is very consistent and yummy, including some of best hibachi out there, but just hope they improve on this aspect.
