A month late posting but Uncle Bear’s was a fun time! Part of that fun was listening to the two drunks at the bar hitting on the waitress. Boy, did she handle them well, with decorum and style.

Amazing experience here. The bar has huge garage doors that open for fresh air and they always have the top sports events on TV. They have an ever-changing menu of craft beers but a steady list of their favorites. The food is excellent, I like their chicken wings, sliders, and fajitas so far. Their burgers look great too. The staff are friendly and attentive, I really enjoy Shad and Lauren. They make you feel welcome and know the menus. Perfect neighborhood watering hole in paradise valley.

Honestly extremely disappointed. We (5 people) came today (Sunday) around 1:30pm. The restaurant had 3 tables inside with a total of 6 people. I am gluten free and love their wings. Every time except this time the manager has baked my wings instead of fry them to accommodate my dietary needs. My allergy isn’t a choice or something I’m doing as trend. I’ve spoken to the owner in the past and they have told me they have no problem accommodating the request if the restaurant isn’t busy and told me it takes 20-30 min which I’m always ok with. We chose to sit down because it wasn’t busy thinking they would have no issues as normal. But apparently the kitchen manager (Anthony) chose not to accommodate a local regular. Maybe he wanted to stand around and watch football instead of watching 10 wings in the oven for 20 min. He came out with an attitude and shared with me that him and the other manager buttheads and he’s putting his foot down and will be giving him a call and will not make my wings today! Not even a I’ll do it this time but going forward….Not really something you share with a customer as it sounds completely unprofessional. I felt bad for our waitress who was new and in training because she was so sweet and understanding. Most businesses are struggling with the way the economy is currently and to be honest in Scottsdale/phoenix we have 1000’s of other choices but we chose Uncle Bears. Unfortunately they just lost business from a family of 5 that attend uncle Bears regularly. Plenty of other restaurants near by that will have over the top customer service with just as good of food and accommodate a gluten allergy.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Uncle Bear’s Grill & Tap! It just happened to be a quieter Saturday night, and the atmosphere was very clean, bright, and inviting. The noise level was just right! The food was excellent; we had a few different burgers and the brisket sandwich. Everything was reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely go back; it is a great neighborhood bar and grill.

Stopped in for dinner last night. Was our first time and we were not disappointed. Food was fantastic and even better was Brandi. How fabulous is this person. She is by far the best server EVER!! Ty so much for a great experience.
