Ordered a #1 chicken teriyaki plate to go on my way home from Mt. Hood. The most basic thing on the menu. Got home and opened it and it was nothing but veggies. Hate to leave a bad review, but I was really looking forward to enjoying what I ordered when I got home and this left me quite frustrated, especially after leaving a generous tip when I ordered. Thanks a lot. I had many other options, *chose this place based on the positive reviews*, and didn’t even get what I ordered. I would like a refund, please.

It was so good, there was SO much food!! For the price it was so worth it. I got the spicy teriyaki plate (which wasn’t too spicy but a tasty chili-sriracha type sauce) Then a teriyaki bowl…those two items will feed me lunch and dinner for two days. The side salad that came with the plate was really big and refreshingly crisp. I want to try other things on the menu next time

When I go to Gresham, it’s only for Sakura Express and a little grocery run at Fred Myer’s. My go to is the spicy pork. They do it just right. However, I went the other day to find new items on the menu!! Korean fried chicken!! If you never had Korean fried chicken then you’re missing out. There are a few spots in Portland, but hands down Sakura Express has the best Korean fried chicken! Its extremely delicious! Portion sizes are generous for the price, the sauce is amazing, and the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I tried the Sweet Heat so far, but it’s always on my mind. I don’t live too near, so I ate a chicken on our way home, and it still kept its crunchiness by the time we were home. This is key during Covid-19 times when we can’t dine-in. Anyway, I can’t wait to make a trip back to try the other flavors!

I got the chicken breast bowl and small side salad- SUPER tasty. The bowl was the perfect amount of food and they give you extra sauce on the side. The dressing for the salad was nice and light. Solid prices, too! Service was super quick! I did take out so couldn’t really comment on atmosphere, but it’s a lil shop and reminds me of Asian eateries back in NY. Loved it!

Joy teriyaki who? Best place in town. When I get an hour for my lunch I come here and sit down to eat. Service is outstanding and the food is AMAZING. Having egg rolls and Yakisoba with tofu. So hot and fresh and delicious!

The food here is delicious! They also gave me a big portion were I couldnt even finish it. The customer service is great too. This is only my second time coming here and when I walked up to the counter, the owner said “Thank you for coming again”. I was touched and we talked a bit while I was ordering my food.

I got chicken yakisoba and spicy Korean fried chicken. Really yummy, and quite big portions. I’d recommend not getting the spicy sauce with the fried chicken, and maybe get the garlic sauce or something + make sure to get teriyaki sauce on the side to dip it in 😉
