Since we visited on a weekday, the place wasn’t very crowded, which was nice as we were able to get our food quickly. If you’re a first-time visitor, you’ll be asked to choose from spicy, beef, vegetable, or tomato broth for your hot pot. The portions were larger than I expected, but ample enough to share with friends and family. I highly recommend this place for the experience.

We had so much fun experimenting at Kung Fu Hotpot! We ordered a double broth and the only cautionary advice I will give is that the Chongqing Spicy broth is really really hot w red peppers! If you like it hot, this is for you. But it was a little too hot for us. But like I said, we were experimenting! The other broth was beef broth and was wonderful.

Great place to eat. Andy our server was great! He made sure we were satisfied and we had everything we needed. The food was great and we all enjoy it.

My new favorite hotpot place. Honestly, this is the most affordable hotpot restaurant I have ever been too. They also have large sized tables that offer lots of room. We ordered the all you can eat hotpot for $24 per person. It was perfect! Yes, you are sacrificing some of the normal service options you get from other hotpot places, like the explanation and lesson on cooking, but for the price, I am good! You will never feel like you didn’t get enough. It’s mostly a “figure it out yourself” kind of place, but they will help if you ask. Honestly, I appreciated the hands-off approach with the room to go up and get all the hotpot broth items on your own. You also keep the tablet and can add more items, if you need it. I will definitely be back with my own BYOB next time. The drink options are the only thing I wouldn’t mind an improvement on. They only offer cans of soda you get yourself. My kids loved it, but I don’t like soda. I can deal with that for all the other bonus. Tips for others: you go to the back to get all your own broth seasoning, flavor items, and utensils; most of the items in the back are labeled but ask if you aren’t sure; broth is also unlimited and they come around offering fill-ups; and bring the tablet up with you to pay the bill.

Really great experience. Service was great too. Don’t forget to make yourself a sauce and don’t order too much at one time. You can keep adding more as you go

Since they reopened after a remodel, I like that you can now get most of the food items yourself, however you still have to order your meats. The problem is they give you only a little bit of meat, it’s not enough for a table of 5 to share… Maybe for 2 people.

The food here is lovely, the broths are all rich and a little complex. Staff is friendly and easy to get along with, though some things were lost, due to the volume level inside. I adore this place, though I do wish they’d work on the noise level. I had to raise my voice quite a bit for my company to hear me.

This restaurant claims to operate in the format of a buffet, but in reality, they subtly limit the quantity of our orders, leaving us far from satisfied. There were five of us dining. I particularly enjoy oyster mushrooms, but when I placed my order, the quantity of mushrooms they served was meager, not even enough to form a whole mushroom when combined. After we finished our initial orders, we placed another order, including the oyster mushrooms I crave. Expecting a prompt serving, we waited for over 20 minutes. Despite urging the waitstaff twice during this period, our dishes were reluctantly brought to us only after the considerable delay. They had the audacity to claim that the delay was due to a queue. Please, at that time, there were only five or six tables occupied in the hotpot restaurant. Their fabricated excuse is laughably absurd. After waiting for over 20 minutes, my order arrived without the oyster mushrooms. I understand that oyster mushrooms are not cheap, so they are reluctant to serve them. Moreover, there were customers of various ethnicities dining at the time, and I distinctly felt that their attitude towards Chinese customers (us) was notably worse than towards non-Chinese. Therefore, if you are a Chinese international student nearby, I strongly recommend not wasting your money at this place to experience their discriminatory service. They should be ashamed for ignoring reasonable customer demands, for their abysmal treatment of customers based on their ethnicity, and for their bait-and-switch behaviors.
