We’ve been seeing this place driving to work and back. We finally stopped in to try it out, and really glad we did. Service and food was excellent. You can’t go wrong going to this great restaurant.

This was my second time there. My first trip I ate the seafood and it was incredible. This time I had Mexican and I was disappointed. I was hoping for more authentic flavors. It was just barely warm when it got to my table. Warm food is not good food. Our service was beyond lousy. I do have to say that the beef taco was pretty good though, it saved my meal cause the enchiladas and rice ruined it.

10 out of 10. Went there for the first time today 9-30-22. Was so surprised. Excellent price point you get a big dish for your money and trust me all dishes have tons of meat. And I mean big dish!!. At other restaurants would cost a small fortune. So fresh. Highly recommend to anybody who loves Mexican food and seafood Mexican food. They should be a top winner of Corpus Christi restaurants. Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Homemade chips. Homemade salsa. All scratch made!!!!!Great atmosphere.fresh!! Fish jumbo shrimp scallops octopus all fresh not just deep fried. True Mexicano. 1.99 house margarita frozen and they do not skimp on alcohol.

This is the first time I have been here since it changed hands yet again , but I was in area and thought why not. The place looks the same as always , no changes , no improvements , looked a little tired and old for a brand new place. But I was here for the food. They came pretty quick with our drinks , but had to wait to put in food order and waitress did not describe the sauce on the dish I asked about , so I ordered it. Should have ordered a different version , which she did point to that was available. It was shrimp enchiladas with Verde sauce , it was not jalapeno or cilantro , it was tomatillo, I did not care for it , it seemed to bitter for me and definitely overwhelmed the shrimp. The good news ; plenty of shrimp and I did like the tortilla and there was not a crazy amount of cheese. Loved the refried beans ( and I don’t normally like beans) the rice was OK , a white rice with peas and carrotts. The chips were ok , might have been better if hot , they were thick and tasted a little stale. The table salsa was very good , not too hot and not too bland. My husband had a #1 he said it was ceviche that was cooked , it had shrimp , scallops , and octopus. He was not a fan of the sauce , overwhelmed the seafood. I thought it had a strong taste as well. I did get a pastry at the register, but as I went to lift the lid , the cashier snatched box out of my hand , I don’t know why she was so rude other than I was only non Hispanic in restaurant, but I go all over town and always lift lid to see what looks good. Overall they had alot on menu that was different and so we will go back to try more.

This restaurant is spacious. The food had good taste and was done pretty fast. The server was very attentive. However, when I had finished my food I noticed a tiny black fly on the plate. It was hidden in between the vegetables. Then, the lady at the register asked if everything was ok? I told her about the fly, but she just charged and completely ignored my reply. Next time, if I come again, I will just be more careful while eating my food.

My bestie and I went for lunch. The restaurant was clean and the waitstaff was great! The food was fresh and delicious!! We hot the seafood plate for two. It came with fish, shrimp, ceviche tosada, shrimp cocktail, fries and rice. Everything had so much flavor. I will definitely be back.

My husband’s dish was good but it was without the shrimp cocktail like picture. He asked for a bottle of cocktail sauce but received an empty one. The waitress never brought another one after being asked for another. The mariscos soup was fair. The bread which there was s charge for, was toasted but no butter just dry. These things matter.

The food and drinks look delicious but unfortunately we were not even able to try anything because upon arriving we were never greeted nor seated even though several staff members walked right by us I understand it was busy as it was lunch time on a Sunday but it would have been professional and courteous for at least someone to acknowledge us standing there. After a few minutes we just walked right out.

The woman at the register was rude. This is the second time I get her rude, frown faced expression as if she was put off by my mere presence. It was not welcoming, nor is it an environment I want to enjoy my food in. The waitress never came back to refill the drinks, and the fish tacos had an after taste as if the oil was in need of changing. I could see our waitress standing at the podium….not once bothering to look in our direction, and when a table came in after us, she ignored us and only paid attention to them and they were next to us. The tea was way too strong and didn’t taste right. I will not go back because the service was rude and the food mediocre. Being polite and courteous really does go a long way. I would rather go to El Sol on Staples, and I will be.
