Ok let me say first off. I’ve been to many of Chinese establishment. This one by far us maybe one of the worst ones I’ve been to. I can safely say that everyone that rates this place more than 3 stars… DOES NOT get out of Tooele much. The food is alright actually, it was a little below alright. I ordered a sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was hard and tasted like rubber. The sauce smothered the little rubbery pieces of chicken, and my other order of mongolian beef was better but not by far. Not even remotely spicy. Table service was very attentive and food came out fast. But the downside came with the food not that great for the price and not even worth a second chance.

Decent dining room, excellent service, better than average American Chinese food in Utah. Food came out quick, but not too quick. We had the beef and broccoli and also Kung Pao chicken. The sauce on both was thick, dark, and savory, just like it should be. Fresh veggies, which are a must. My only criticism of the Kung Pao chicken is that it wasn’t as spicy as I would hope and expect. There are some pretty bad reviews for this place and we were hesitant to try it. I’m glad we did.

I’m not from this area just passing through. I thought I would give this restaurant a try. I bought a dish with tofu and it was not cooked at all. It wasn’t firm tofu so it was like eating slime or melted cheese curds. The sauce was odd tasting as well. My husband got the curry and it was way to hot. The only things that tasted good was the egg drop soup and wontons/egg rolls. Not going back and the server was amazing. She deserves a raise. She may be the only reason the elderly locals go there. The cooks need some training on flavor and cooking styles.

We we’re disappointed with our food. The sweet and sour chicken was so hard it was possible to get a fork into it. The waitress took it back to the cook and he prepared a fresh batch, but it was no better.

A lot of meal options, a lot. Food is really good well seasoned. Very very quiet that a little music would be nice. Welcoming staff. Clean. I personally would rather not smell cleaning product while I’m eating, especially one that is spray and you can taste the Clorox, but thing must be cleaned.

Total surprise given the location. Some of the best egg rolls I’ve ever had: they were deliciously plump, juicy, crunchy, and the mustard was nice and spicy. The pan fired noodles were tasty as well. And the service matched the meal. Well done.

Well i would like to say the staff were very helpful and friendly but the food (which we went for) was disgusting, quote my wife ” I feel like I just ate plate of snot”. Honestly, im sure the cusomer retention is down to lack of tastebuds or of culinary experience but definitely not by what We just ate. Would I recommend this restaurant…maybe to help train the customers the difference between garbage oriental food and good food, but to go for a culinary extravaganza of tastes I would recommend driving by and passing this restaurant completely.

I have loved going to Sun Lok Yuen with my family since I was a young girl. After I moved out of town I would come back to eat there. I am going to miss this place. I always get the Lemon chicken, it’s my fave! I want to know how they batter it because it is the best I have ever had!

Maybe it’s because I got a to go order instead of eating in. I ordered sweet and sour pork with two shrimp and fried rice. The styrofoam container restaurants use for take out typically has three sections; two small spots or sides, and then the main dish typically put into the larger if the three spots. The sweet and sour pork was put in one of the “side” spots. 4 pieces of sweet and sour pork. That’s it. The rice was heaped in the largest of the three spots. Two shrimps in the third spot. The sweet and sour sauce was GELATIN. I tried microwaving to see if it would turn into a sauce. It did not. They did give me extra gelatin sauce, but could not be used for dipping. Basically I feel like I paid 10.00 for ham fried rice. The ham fried rice was good. The pork and shrimp over cooked.

I always get great service there and the food is always great. I love their food. I have went there for many years, even at their 1st location here in Tooele. I will definitely miss their food and the entire Leo family. Fong was always nice and had my to go orders ready for me with good conversation.
