Great food!! Love it when I can go to a restaurant and see menu items that I’ve never seen before! I got the Pisgah bowl and it was what I would describe as a breakfast Ramen! Very good food. The place was designed a little tight to allow maximum customers. My wife and I had a stroller but they have an area where you can keep it, kid friendly, so points for that! Great experience!!

The service was great and fair prices for portions of quality food. $6 for a mimosa jar which is mostly champagne is a great deal! Kid friendly options, my son loved the giant chocolate chip pancake.

We were told about this place on a food tour so we decided to try it before we left town. It didn’t disappoint at all. Huge portions and fast service. We got there before they opened not a huge line but everyone got a table and the service got us in and out in no time. Hint there is more tables in the back so it’s bigger than it looks just from the street. Will definitely go back next time we’re in town.

Had a chance to try this diner in downtown Asheville, NC. It must be a pretty popular place for the locals because it was very busy. Although it was busy, we were seated immediately, and didn’t have to wait long for our food. Overall, the food tasted great!

Hands down one of the better places in Ashville! Smaller diner feel, but the waitstaff and cook are cool! Good vibes! The food was outstanding! Biscuits and gravey were delicious! Gravey was not just regular goop, but nice and silky and amazing flavor! The hasbowl was were its at! The sausage was fresh and sage filled! The big fried potatoes gave great texture, smothered with that sauce!!! Outta bounds! Fresh tomatoes for a cool crisp after bite, onions and peppers and smothered in cheese!??? Why not!!

I’ve been reading some of the reviews and the complaints about the wait. For all of you who are unaccustomed to waiting a while for a table, there is this advice. On any given Saturday or Sunday in a lot of other cities, there is always a wait in line for restaurants that have very few tables, such as the Med does. A good rule of thumb is that if a place doesn’t accept reservations and they are small then… there’s usually a wait. I wonder if it’s because the Med is a diner, and while people would wait in line for some higher-end restaurants, they consider waiting in line for a diner to be unusual? I’m not quite sure, but you can clearly see by the size of the restaurant that unless your timing is perfect, there will be a wait. Get a cup of coffee someplace nearby and then go and wait. Enjoy your time outside talking to people. Go into some of the nearby shops if you would like. Stroll around. They send you a text when your table is ready so you don’t even have to hang out outside on College Street.

I got the breakfast salad and it was amazing. The servers all seemed to help out so I wasn’t “married to one server”. That was nice because they got very busy but still provided great, friendly customer service. They also allowed me to sit at a table even though I was by my self Whit h I appreciate (I have a sore back and the backless stools at the bar kill my back). God job The Med. Stay friendly and delicious
