This place is a joke. Person who took my order was rude, tacos came out cold (tortillas weren’t even warmed), they didn’t even chop the onions/cilantro, the pineapple on the pastor was completely raw, and worst of all–they charge for salsa!

Las Gemelas is a Mexican restaurant serving up tacos, quesadillas and chili rellenos inside La Cosecha food hall in the Union Market District. Our group shared the guacamole with salted blue corn chips. The tastes of the al pastor (pork and pineapple) and choripapa (chorizo and potato) tacos were well balanced, the breakfast taco less so. A bit pricy for takeaway tacos but worth the trip and beautiful interior.

Truly mediocre at best. The 15% service charge is uncalled for. I’d have been okay with it, with actual service, but there was less than a hello and I felt like an inconvenience, more than a customer. The tacos were really disappointing, cold, lacking flavor, and lacking fresh ingredients. Buffet tacos. There are much better options in DC. This is a skip. The only redeeming quality was their queso. Pretty solid. The rest, missable.

I only have one bar and one bar only I go to in dc I work around the area and wanted a after work drink from a long weeks work a good strong but but not to strong drink I tried their coconut seasonal margarita after about 7pm yesterday first time being in there and it took everything for me not to turn back around and give them my money for such a wonderfully impressive drink! Staff is very friendly and calm atmosphere definitely coming back today as soon as I leave work I think I found my second bar.

The smell from Taqueria Las Gemelas was enough to lure us into this restaurant. This was with their garage doors fronting the storefront wide open. We also chose Las Gemelas despite a visit to Union Market where there are multiple good places to eat. From the hand made tortillas to the bright and delicious salsas, it was all delicious. The Hongos taco was delicious as a vegetarian choice and my husband happily ate even though he hates kale. The star of the line up though was the Suadero taco which I highly recommend if you eat beef. This is a must if you visit La Cosecha.

Service was very fast! I ordered in the online app and within two minutes my appetizer arrived & drinks are soon to follow. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all of my questions. The ambience gave for some pretty amazing people watching opportunities. Will definitely return when I’m back in town.

First things first. The horchata is really good. The tacos are fancy not really classic but they are pretty good. I love that inside it’s a cool venue especially the garage door. That will be so nice in the warmer months. I got takeout and the staff was phenomenal. I’d recommend this place if you’re in the area.

I really enjoyed Las Gemelas! The outside space was great. I have to say these are some of the best tacos I have ever had. The flavors were unmistakably and deliciously Mexican.The homemade tortillas stand up to the juicy flavorful meats and the combinations are both authentic and imaginative. I will highly recommend this restaurant.
