Fish tacos didn’t taste great. No options for fresh fish tacos just fried. Kids didn’t eat their fries. They look like they were frost bitten before making. Ordered guacamole and they never brought to table but still tried to charge us for it. They took it off once we brought it to their attention. Took forever to get refill. Would not recommend this restaurant at all

My daughter took me to lunch here and we had the best time ever. The food was delicious. My daughter suggested I get something that I’d never gotten before. I did. It turned out to be a great idea. The waitresses were kind and thorough. It turned an average day into a special day. On the Border is now one of my favorite places to go.

For a tex-mex place, it wasn’t what I expected. My child had the kids cheese quesadilla with fries; she didn’t like it at all. I had their taco lunch special, but they were so greasy I only ate the meat from one of them. My other daughter had their taco salad, it didn’t have any quac or sour cream like it stated. The only decent meal was my husband’s. He had the chicken fajitas. However, they added cheese!?! I’ve never seen melted cheese on a fajita plate. It was easy to take off. The waitress was good but I won’t go back just for decent service. Way too expensive for food that made me nauseous due to the greasy ness of the food .

A good restaurant in Mesquite to enjoy a cold margarita and a Mexican meal. Food is always good at best. My only comment would be on the margaritas. I would expect a garnish or a slice of pineapple on a $9+ pineapple margarita, not just the salt…
