The waitress was very nice and smiled a lot. I can’t remember her name but, she a heart tattooed under her left eye. She even took photos for us. The vibe is really nice and laid back in there. Definitely will recommend.

This place overall is completely awful. My husband and I were visiting Houston for the weekend and were looking for a nice place to jointly celebrate Father’s Day for him and my 30th birthday. We decided to try Quotes which was a HUGE mistake. We had a reservation so we were seated quickly, but it took 15 minutes after that for anyone to acknowledge our presence. After waiting for more than an hour, only half of our party’s food was brought out, and what was brought out was cold and had obviously been sitting for a while. The French toast were soggy and the eggs were hard and flavorless. We had no choice but to send it back and waited another 45 minutes for replacement meals. My husband’s crab cakes came back looking completely different but were still cold in the middle/undercooked and my french toast still hadn’t come. After 2 hours total, we decided to just cut our losses, pay, and leave. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food is mid and totally not worth the money or the wait. If, I could rate the service 0 stars, I would.

My daughter and I went to visit this spot on our mother daughter day. We were seated within 5 mins without reservations. The drink (lemon drop martini) was good. We ordered the chicken and waffles and I got the soul food meal with 2 sides. My food was delicious. I did notice the menu said the dish was $27, but my bill said $31. The waiter also told us anything with lobster was going away. My biggest complaint was it took a full hour for our food to come out. We went on a Sat around 3pm. This spot is close to our home and I will go back and visit to give it another chance. The waiter and hostess were nice. A homeless man carrying his belongings did come into the restaurant , but he was politely escorted out by a female employee. If the owner can work on the the timeliness of food being served, this will be my new spot!!

Ok, so I saw this Black owned restaurant on Tiktok and decided to try it today…OMG I will be back and bringing more people, lol! The food was delicious, seasoned very well, and came out hot! Best chicken and waffles that I have ever had. The firecracker shrimp was cooked perfectly! The tropical passion drink was amazing as well! The atmosphere was very nice, classy and clean! The customer service was great, which is something that is very important to me when dining out! And it is right next to the mall which was so convenient as we left there to go shopping, haha! 10’s all around! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was nothing but good vibes. Our waitress was respectful, funny and down to earth! She even went so far to charge my phone because it was dying. The food was amazing, the drinks even better. It was storming that night and they still had a good crowd of people. I like how the hookah’s area is upstairs and away from the bar and food area. For the people who don’t smoke hookah’s. I will be back the next time I visit Houston.

Came here for a date midweek. The lemon drop was good. The karaoke made it a better time out. Previous reviews of the fried chicken mentioned feathers still being on them. That’s in fact true. Don’t order if you’re not ok with that. The appetizer shrimp left more to be desired for the price. I can appreciate the cornmeal, but they were a bit dry/overcooked.

Went here with the wife and sat at the bar. The place was packed. Music was bumping. We had the soul food plate which has fried chicken wings. I chose the smoked gouda mac n cheese, and greens. Those wings were excellent. Crispy on the outside and hot and moist on the inside. The mac n cheese was great. The greens were a little salty but good. Would definitely visit again for the food and grown folk vibe.

Went with a group for Sunday brunch. I visited for the first time and was really impressed with the facility. The betcha menu was extensive. I decided to order the breakfast salmon and was so glad I did. It was DELICIOUS. The server was really good and another waitstaff continuously checked with our table to ensure we were getting what we needed and wanted. Overall, my experience was excellent. I look forward to returning.
