Was good food, good service with the surprise of HOW BIG THE SUPER BURRITO WAS!!! Yes folks it’s a biggie. I would admit I think the protein portion should outweigh the rest, ya know more steak (or beef/chicken) than rice etc. I like to bite into steak from 1st bite to last. Regardless, I had a good meal a few cold beers and was happy.

Simple, fairly priced restaurant. If you’re looking for something that will blow your socks off, this won’t be it. If you’re looking for a more “Americanized” version of Mexican food, this is your spot. My margarita was good and their gravy is a delicious and much welcomed substitution to their lackluster salsa that appeared to be flavorless tomato soup with zero chunks of veggies in it .

Great service! Our server Sara remembers us from prior visits, is friendly and patient with our children, and always gets our orders correct. Portions are HUGE and drink specials are always available. Great food! Be sure to try the chips with gravy. Yum!

I had combo dinner # 2 with a pork enchilada smothered in green sauce and a beef and bean tostada. I ate my fill and had a to go box full when I left . I highly recommend asking for their hot salsa if you can stand the heat.

We try to give local Mom & Pop businesses our money-When they first opened, the food was good, slow but good. Now after being open for a few years, we’ve decided to take our local business elsewhere. We order no less than $25-30 every time. The last 2 times, our order has been soggy with gravy-EVEN THOUGH WE WERE VERY CLEAR-NO GRAVY. Tonight’s slop includes gravy over everything, too salty for words and didn’t receive the entire order. The tortillas are white flour-how pedantic, I can get that at the grocery store. However, the blandness of the rice & beans helps cut the salt. Sorry, La Casa Del Rio, I’ll take my money and appetite elsewhere.
