I recently visited Forty8 Hundred for a day party, and I must say, I found myself agreeing with the previous negative reviews. The atmosphere was undoubtedly Caribbean with music that never strayed from that genre, but the absence of any recent tunes left me wanting more variety.

Customer service was excellence, but the food was a solid 1. I ordered oxtails rice and beans and cabbage. Also jerk salmon egg roll and was very disappointed. The best thing about the meal was the cabbage. The vibe and the customer service was immaculate, even though I wouldn’t recommend the food, I will recommend the lounge for a great night experience

DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM HERE. The portions were laughable for $30.00. A toddler couldn’t get full off of this. The “manager” sounded like she was a child herself and instead of trying to make it right, she said her kitchen portion out the food. Wth is this?!!?!!!? So since I had to order from somewhere else, I posted a picture of this foolishness. The second picture is from Central Ave..look at the difference. They will never get my business again…she was too busy thinking someone wanted something for free.

My boyfriend and I went as soon as the place opened and was greeted with open arms. Not only was the food delicious but the service was amazing! As a server I always look for great service and Julia did just that! Julia was amazing thank you for making us out of towners feel welcomed! We will be back whenever we are in Charlotte! I recommend the Jerk Chicken and the Rasta Pasta with Oxtails added !

I attended an event where it was hosted by Natalie Nunn. I must say the atmosphere was very chill, laid back but a vibe. Staff is constantly busy making sure their guest are well provided for. Clean. Music was great! It was a great community of people enjoying themselves. No drama. Complete fun.
