Our family of 6 arrived to the restaurant and were seated right away on the outside patio. Our orders were taken and the food came out within a reasonable amount of time. All of the food we ordered had great flavor. The portions were good sizes we even had leftovers to take home. Prices were good the music was great. Our family would definitely eat there again. We Highly recommend this restaurant.

I was in the mood for spanish food and this restaurant had red snapper which is my favorite fish. I ordered the red snapper with rice and vegetables. When I arrived I parked nearby. They only have a few parking spaces at the restaurant. I walked in and told the very nice lady my name and the food wasn’t yet done. I waited a few more minutes and paid and left with my meal. When I dug in the snapper was good and so was the rice and vegetables. The snapper had a lime taste because they used it in the seasoning, while a bit overpowering it was still good. All in all I had a good experience.

Ordered for take-out. When I arrived my food was sold to another person. Who does that? If you offer first come first serve, don’t say you are a take-out/pickup restaurant!!! Very disappointing!!!

I really enjoyed their red snapper and coffee. My dining mate enjoyed the fresh vegetables and empanadas. I forgot to take a pic of empanadas. The maduros were good just a bit too oily.

Family of 6 (3 generations) went to El Merengue restaurant. Authentic Spanish food, and yes if you like Puerto Rican food, it was Delicious. Service was very good as was the atmosphere. This was a pleasant surprise that we had no idea was in the vicinity of Shawnee Poconos.
