All I can say is, the server was nice. The place doesn’t have the best atmosphere, felt like a mini cafeteria. It was the only thing open that was a restaurant around the time we started looking for food. So they do have great hours. BUT!

We’re in town for the Ride the Bull tournament and ate here for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was good. My husband got a biscuit that I believe was the biggest, freshest biscuit I’ve ever tasted. At dinner, we shared a gumbo and potato salad. It was good (not our homemade) but good. The hamburger was fresh and delicious; the onion rings were as well. The service was a little slow BUT there are signs saying they are shorthanded. Perhaps that is why the server seemed a little confused. I’d definitely come back here again because everything was good!

Loved the food. Onion Rings are awesome and the hamburgers are awesome. The prices on the other hand for the seafood was a little to high for my liking and it took 55 minutes to get our food. 3 tables came in after us and got there food before us. I feel like the problem was in the kitchen because of the amount of orders coming in. Waitress was great. Over all I enjoyed it and I’ll be going back.

Great gator po boy and soft shell crab platter. Onion rings were delicious and service was good and wait for food wasnt long even though they were busy at lunchtime when we came in. Glad we chose this place!

This place is awesome. After the long drive drive from New Orleans to Grand Isle, we had worked up an appetite. The place was busy when we got there and continued that way, but service was attentive and friendly. They definitely earned the bragging rights to the onion rings mentioned on their sign and menu. The fried chicken was some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Just note that it is battered and fried to order and takes about 20 minutes, but well worth it. Also delicious were the gumbo and the Po boys and fried pickles. A must visit!

Grand isle is a place of fresh seafood all around you. Stopped to eat at Starfish restaurant. It was awful!! Ordered fish and oysters. Fish was frozen fish that was partially raw. The oysters seemed to be from a can, they were dried out, rubbery, and disgusting. I was embarrassed for them. How and WHY in the heck are you selling and cooking frozen seafood if there is fresh all around you. But it wouldn’t do no good if they had fresh because they cooked my gosh something awful. I don’t know where the rest of these people are eaten, but I don’t know what they ate. That was good. The bathrooms were filthy. The restaurant was filthy. My waitress kept wiping her face from sweat and handling everyone’s food. And yes, if I had a restaurant in Grand Isle, I could put everyone to shame there. Too bad I can’t do it. I love horses in every way, and for me to have to spit out oysters, they have to be bad. Grand Isle get smart and get you a great seafood restaurant that cooks, fresh seafood, and knows how. This place needs to close their doors. So I’m pretty much paid $25 to eat some fries.

We were in the mood for fried seafood and this place delivered. It now claims the top spot for best fried seafood platter I’ve ever had. Fried shrimp, oysters, fish, soft shell crab and stuffed crab. All delicious. Onion strings were fantastic too. Their batter on the seafood as well as onions is the tastiest batter I’ve had. 100% recommend and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Grand Isle.

Went in with my family there was three of us total. Took our order quickly and everything was fine until it took an hour for cheese sticks…just our appetizer. Another hour and no food, after 30 minutes of being told it was coming out shortly, we got fed up and decided to leave. All we ordered was an hamburger and a kids fish. Another couple next to us was dealing with the same situation and was getting ready to leave as well. Do not recommend

The food was great and the restaurant really had an adorable mom and pop feel. The only downside was that our waitress did not look pleased to be there and it felt like we were a burden and not paying customers.

Be prepared to wait well over an hour for your food. That seems to be the norm here and you won’t get a warning before you sit down that the wait is long. They take a lot of to-go orders that back up the kitchen. The food was pretty good though, especially the onion rings.
