Honestly, I expected better. The Mac & cheese was terrible. Just look at it. The sandwich I got was good if you like that spicy type chicken. Maybe next time, I’ll try something else, but I am no rush to return. Just wish the overall experience was better.

Can you see the photo? What is this? The menu says mac and cheese, but it looks like noodles in a mustard bbq sauce. The taste and smell are terrible. I don’t know where the cheese is. The collared greens were salty, lacking all other flavors and disintegrating. The spare ribs were tough and a lot of bone but edible. The 2 stars are for the ribs. The rest went to the trash.

I’ve eaten at some fine BBQ places down south and this place could stand with any of them. That Carolina Chopped Pork sandwich is incredible. So is the mac-n-cheese. It is a little dark, but it’s from whatever cheese they used and how it’s spiced. I was going to ding them a star on price, since it is pricey, but after I ate that sandwich I gave the star back. There is no place to sit, just a drive thru and they’re only open 4 days a week.

Visiting in town and came across Ray Rays. Service and food are wonderful! This is great bbq! Staff so friendly. We highly recommend! Will be back if in area again! My daughter loved the brisket too. Said we definitely needed to eat here again. Go and enjoy!

Ordered half pound of ribs with sweet sauce. Ribs came with dry rub only no sweet sauce on the ribs or with the ribs.

Ray Rays might actually be the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Anywhere. I’d also like to call out Byron – he’s the BEST! The staff is so great. Such a great experience and we only went through the drive thru!

I like to go to restaurants from diners, drive-ins and dives when I am traveling since you usually can be assured it’s a quality place. This is a chain but maintains that hole in the wall feel. They have the pits outside and picnic chairs since they are small and there’s no dine in. The weather was nice today and we enjoyed the picnic tables.
