Loved it all. The ribs were delicious. Their house cabernet was great. The outdoor seating area was a blast. Will be going back for sure!

We stopped in for dinner. The place was moderately busy, but seating was easily available. Some dirty tables, but staff wasn’t too long in cleaning those up. Ordering at the bar was easy, and clear. The service was incredibly fast which I guess makes sense as BBQ needs to be cooked in advance. The portions were big except for the “fishy” cornbread. It’s delicious but too small. Beans and creamed corn were really good and I typically am disappointed in baked beans at a restaurant. Drinks were not the best. My margarita simply didn’t deliver on the promised flavor of grand marnier. The view, and setting are really nice. I’d highly recommend this stop if enjoying the lake.

Great atmosphere! Right on the water and they had a live band playing as well. The BBQ was really good too and super quick once you order even when it was busy. The seating was first come first serve and it was busy but we were still able to get a spot!

A couple friends and I did the Bloody Mary boat cruise on Sunday morning with Captain Keith. While the weather wasn’t ideal, the company and drinks were! The cost is only $55 per person and includes a captain, full drinks, breakfast and mimosas. Truly such a great value and haven’t found anywhere else in the cities that does this. Already was a huge fan of Tally’s for the atmosphere and location but this excursion really solidified it. Will be booking another cruise they offer either Wednesday or Thursday!

Food was good if it was correct. Service was sufficient. I was here for a fishing tournament weigh in and I don’t think they were staffed for 40 boats to come in at 1 time. Staff was friendly and worked hard. Seems like it would be a great summer weekend hang out.

Not many choices when you’re on White Bear Lake, but Tally’s is pretty decent. They have good food (small portions) and many drinks to choose from.

Don’t order any fancy cocktails here, why? They are not mixed right! I have had Mojitos here one was good the other one tasted like straight lime juice no booze.

Please note when you rent a boat, the anchor is less than 10 lbs. (Rented Boat#6) and the boat will drift away no matter where you attempt to park it on the lake.

I’ve always had a great experience renting pontoons from Tally’s. I am a single mom of five and took the kids out to fish and swim for $500. The anchor would not hold the pontoon at all. Yes it was windy, but that is Minnesota. Every other pontoon throughout the lake could anchor but I couldn’t fish or swim with my kids. I called in and they said we have to make the anchors light for people who can’t lift them and all of our other pontoons are rented out. We can’t help you/ I’ve never had this experience before on windy rentals. I asked to speak to the manager and he just said it was windy when I said it was not a good experience at all. He said Nothing I can do. Beware if you want to do more than troll the lake, make sure it’s not on a semi windy day as you won’t be able to anchor anywhere. I will not rent here again. They should have offered another opportunity to make it right based on the fact that I’ve never had this experience.
