We stopped in for lunch and drinks during our midday boating adventure. Our captain found this place after discovering that our original destination was closed. We didn’t know what to expect and were all pleasantly surprised with this cute restaurant on the water. There was outdoor seating or outdoor bar seating, indoor seating, and an indoor bar with seating, so lots of seating choices. After being in the board, we opted for indoor and air conditioning. We all found something quickly on the menu. The food was fresh and the drinks were yummy and subtly strong, and the service was great – ask for Mona (Mona Lisa).

We came in with a group of five straight from the airport. We weren’t expecting much but were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, food, and drinks. Everyone loved their meals. My cousin said the fried shrimp were the best he had during his vacation in SWFL.

Food 4.8 out of 5 Service the best anywhere, we had a small issue with an order not only did the manager take it off the order offered us another meal to take home, and much more! Salmon special was perfect – the drink pours are let’s just say pirate worthy! But if y’all don’t get the Florida Orange Cake – smack yourself your kids and kick the dog it’s that good!

This is a place a bit out of the way, but worth the drive. It’s on a river and you can eat outside right on the river, indoors with a nice view of the river and with air conditioning, or outside by the tiki bar, where the night we were there, there was a great guitarist performing. We started with two cups of loaded seafood chowder. It was the perfect consistency and filled with potatoes, seafood and flavor. For dinner, we had delicious fresh fish tacos and shrimp/pineapple skewers along with Mango Cart beer, which was a perfect pairing. They have a very nice beer selection on tap. Our service was excellent, provided by our waiter, a guy who was very attentive and friendly. I’m sorry that we don’t remember his name, because he was so good. After dinner we went to the tiki bar and had a couple of beers and listened to the music. A guitar soloist. The only negative was that smoking is allowed and that is horrible.

Awesome “old Florida” restaurant right on the water. I was just there Sunday, Aug 20th for lunch. I had the shrimp stir fry and it was delicious. Great food, great service and beautiful scenery. Saw several boats go by and 2 dolphins playing.

Friendly staff. Good food at good prices. We ate at their outdoor bar area with tables and umbrellas. Not too hot. They also have indoor seating. Good for families, or others looking for a pub atmosphere. One drawback – you have to drive past a boat salvage yard to get there, so the road isn’t attractive. But the Riviera is a gem in the rough.

Had dinner recently and decided because it was so warm to try and get a table inside. We hadn’t made reservations and it was a Friday night..I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they do take reservations for inside dining. Even in season. We will definitely take advantage of that..The view is just as great inside. we had Meshella as our waitress. She was prompt and efficient and a little sassy. Great personality. Food is always great and fresh. Almost every time my husband and I have been the manager Mike comes over and introduced himself and ask how everything was. He genuinely cares and it shows. We see the same wait staff when we go which is always a good thing. Love this place…one of our favorite go to places.

My friend and I like to try new places every few months and critique the food, drinks and atmosphere. We came here today and was not disappointed. Perfect lunch spot, the food was AMAZING!!! The view was nice! The staff was so on top of it. Can’t wait to come back with other family. Definitely a hidden gem.
