We ordered a couple little Mike’s special, one with BBQ chicken thighs, they gave me a dry and overcooked split breast! The greens were cooked well but lacked flavor, I had to use a whole pack of salt! The second was fried whiting, my husband said it was good but wish it was more. The cabbage was great, a little too soft but flavor was great. The macaroni and cheese was decent, and my nephew punished his tenders. The yams(they were missing something, just sweet without being too sweet, but that’s it) and BBQ sauce tasted pretty good, both heavy on the honey but I like a sweet BBQ sauce. And the sweet tea was great but the lemonade was . The gravy on the rice was great! Kinda Small portions. Oh and the cornbread was kinda dry and crumbly.

I did Togo and you order outside at the window on the side. They had turkey wings on Tuesday and it was pretty good. The Mac and Cheese was good too. The chicken gizzards were slap yo mama good.(with hot sauce) The sweet tea was pretty southern sweet. The food is priced very well. The wait time for my to-go order was prepared in a timely manner. It’s definitely worth a try.

If you are visiting Myrtle Beach this restaurant is a MUST! Food was delicious I mean seasoned hot fresh delicious! We went like 3 times within our 5 day stay and every time we tried something different! We loved it all. Great service very friendly waitress. Must go you will not be disappointed!

Friendly staff and clean establishment. Family atmosphere and the service makes you not complain about the wait. Wait on to go orders and to get seating. I give the place a 3 .5 bc I just eat vegetables and starches. No meat here but everyone I talked to raved about the chicken. A must visit to experience Big Mike’s throwing down on the stoves. Everything was delicious and fresh, the yams didn’t come from a can. Service was quick and our waitress was excellent. I fried chicken and my husband had the fish. I couldn’t eat it all, can’t remember the last time I was this excited about leftovers . It was so nice we had to do it twice. We went back the next day. FYI, the cobbler had more in it than that, I forgot to take a picture and just started eating when it got there. Absolutely delicious

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I googled Soul Food while in North Myrtle Beach and this was one of the option. I arrived and too my surprise the place was smaller than I imagined. There were a lot of people standing outside, but the good thing is they were getting to go orders. The inside only holds around 32 people, so there was still a wait to get in so be patient.

This place was great!! Sweet tea was good, I had 3 cups and maybe diabetes now haha. I got the fried pork chops, collards, field peas, and cabbage. I never had field peas before so I don’t have anything to compare them to, but they were delicious. Cabbage was so good, we ended up ordering some to go. Collards were good but lacked flavor in my opinion but everything else made up for that. Pork chops were cooked perfectly & I typically don’t even like pork much but they looked so good on other reviews so I gave them a try and I’m glad I did.

This food was amazing. Great to have some downhome food. It was a little confusing because there was no Clairity for pickup orders. To place your order it’s identifiable but no signs to let you know where to pick up an order. Will definitely come again!
