Driven by this place for years. Decided to stop in for breakfast ! Man why did I wait so long?! Great menu and the food was hot fresh and delicious! Has all your standard breakfast items as well as some unique specialty items. Service was excellent as well. We had French toast & a breakfast sandwich. Bacon cooked to perfection and it was good thick bacon sausage was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Sounds simple yet most breakfast places fail at these simple task or they cut cost buy offering small inadequate portions. Do yourself a favor skip Perkins and try this place!

We got there right as they opened on a Sunday, so there was a bit of wait as there was no waiter yet. Food was delicious eggs super tasty, and the “soprano” eggs Benedict was really good. The spicy biscuits and gravy on the specials menu was top notch. Not listed anywhere, but there is a cash discount, saves a couple of bucks, and the facilities are clean. The building looks dated, but we all know that means it has really good food. The waiter and manager were nice

Food was decent, nothing super special but i did eat it all. Took 45 minutes to get our food, we noticed people that came in after us were already eating. The server recognized it and didnt charge us for the coffees. He was very nice. We were able to walk in and sit down right away, no wait at 11am on a saturday. So that was great. Id go again. Really big menu, lots of choices.

We went on a Saturday to use the 4$ coupon that was In the mail. we had never been there before. we got 2 drinks with our meal. It was over 45$ for just 2 meals and 2 coffees. When we got up to the front to pay With our coupon and the lady checking us out said that this coupon doesn’t work because we didn’t get 2 drinks. which we did. So she took our three dollar coupon that wasn’t even for a Saturday it was for weekdays. Also my sister couldn’t even use the $15 coupon for one meal because she had to get two drinks too to get her 2$ dollar coupon. That makes no sense since that’s pretty much 1 meal for 15$. Who get 2 drinks?

The waitress was on top of things, considering….. I went to go sit at a booth and the 1st booth seat was old springy & uncomfortable. I decide to move to the booth next to it. As I sat down the booth was dirty. I WAS THE 1ST PETSON IN, in the morning. Which means the night crew just left it. I noticed how she had to clean up after the night crew after that. The food portions were excellent. Loved the hashbrowns. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the flavor of the gravy.

The food was good and generous but our waitress with purple hair seemed very unhappy. When we were asked what kind of toast she said, “we have 9 types” and seemed put out to list them. Same with potato options. There were 6 tables all waiting for our bill. It could be that they had too few serving staff? The other staff were great. We have had wonderful waiters in the past. The prices have gone up.

The blueberry pancakes are literally the best I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. The service was great and our food came out quickly! If I could give this place 6 stars I would 🙂 best breakfast in golden valley and crystal area hands down

You get a lot of food for your money. Large portions served in a low key, old fashion environment. This is a place you have to try. It brings back memories of traditional cafes from the 70’s. I really enjoyed this place. The food is amazing. We were there for breakfast and everything was done perfectly. Try the steak and eggs for breakfast.
