I had the fried shrimp and oysters and they were fried to perfection. The hushpuppies were not overcooked and the baked potato was hit and very soft. The salad bar was fresh. My husband had the seafood platter and was enough we could have shared it. Leftovers were good the next day though. If you are in the area I would highly recommend it.

First time here. Had hoped it would be better. Buffet line was easy to get through and server gave you what you wanted. Food was a little on the bland side from buffet. Wife and kid got menu food. Wifes onion rings were dark, not golden. Was unable to eat them. Food service for non buffet was slow. Wait staff kept drinks filled and was friendly.

Went there with friends for lunch buffet and it was terrible. The beef tips I had was beef pot roast mashed served on some kind of tasteless rice and since I was hungry, I tried to eat some. I am now suffering from what seems to be bad food probably from setting under heat lamps too long…lots of gastrointestinal problems. All of us agree that we will not go back! I can’t believe we paid money for that terrible lunch.

Definitely awesome country place. Kind staff, great, hot, fresh catfish fried in corn meal for gluten free folks. Baked potato, glazed carrots… average salad bar ok because that’s not reason to come. We were late on buffet so ordered off menu… great too support local folks

Omgesh, We stopped by on the way from my mom’s. Jimmy had a seafood plate $$ with salad bar and 2 sides. I had the catfish plate $$ with salad bar and 2 side. Alot of food for each of is; we both had to get a togo box. Cooked perfectly; we’ve been to a lot of places; but to get the service, it was amazing. And the best part of all; one of the waitress’ is going off to college in Lafayette, so it was her last day. The employees that work there (even the ones who were off) gave her a surprise going away celebration . I thought that was some kind of special (my opinion) For them to think of her in a way, for them to say no matter what is going on; we will support you on your journey.

I cannot say enough about this place. The food is absolutely amazing. I was asking if I could take a piece of fish home to my grandpa, he’s on hospice and can’t leave the house and I had ordered the buffet, our waiter handed me a to go box and said take the rest home, my grandpa is very sick too so I get it. I almost cried, you don’t get that compassion everywhere!

Great food! The service was fríendly and good. It was packed at lunch. The fried shrimp were huge and delicious. The four fried oysters became 6-8 because tgey were a bit smaller than usual, but still good. The corn fritters and the garlic toast were amazing! Too bad they over 3 hrs away!
